From the owner

Enjoy an authentic experience off the beaten path of Costa Rica in this small town of Paquera of about 2500 people. Everybody is friendly and helpful, most use bikes and motorcycles as their main transportation and the Bus Stop is across the street. We're conveniently located within walking distance from town where you can get all your staples. Not being overpopulated, nature abounds and greets you, it's what makes this town a hidden gem. The main attraction of our property is the beautiful hummingbirds visiting our feeders located at Mapi's, our next-door property, that you're welcome to try to hand feed, feel free to ask any of our staff. All the amenities offered at Mapi's Cabins is also included for you. Stop by in the mornings for complimentary fresh coffee or during the day made on request. There is FREE WiFi connection and as a backup, you'll also have a connection outside by the pool/office and BBQ/picnic area.

THE HOUSE is a one-story, just for you and your party and meant for the budget-minded individuals or families. We're not even one-star accommodation, please review us according to "AS DESCRIBED" vs. comparing us to other "budget" accommodations you're familiar with that we can't meet their standards. Has AC and HOT WATER ONLY IN SHOWER. Kitchen fully stocked with utensils/pots and pans/silverware and dinnerware etc. ONLY COLD WATER available the kitchen and bathroom sink, the kitchen is complete with a new gas 4 burner stove oven. I have placed local cuisine menus, who deliver. There's NO closet or dressers in bedrooms only a small shelf with a rod to hang some clothes in each room. The empty room in the back has a couple of shelves where we keep assorted game boards and an assorted beach basket for smaller children if going to the beach. This room is where I also keep the cleaning supplies for the house like broom and mop. You'll be staying in a typical Tico House, we tried to keep it as original as we could updating only the basics! Please don't expect attention to detail here, we try to keep it simple and basic as to pass on the savings to you... There are security cameras aimed at it from our next-door property. Though it's rare having any security issues we have taken the precautions with also having bars on door and windows. Included is Cable TV, WiFi, 1x MID-Week Housekeeping (or if needed upon request), Body Soap & Shampoo, Clean Linen & Towels.

ACCESS TO ALL OF MAPI'S CABINS AMENITIES: BBQ Area with Picnic Tables, TINY 9'x15' Pool. In this remote area, that's a lot to offer at a "budget" low-end accommodation, still having an authentic experience right out your doorstep. Feel free to walk around the property and helping yourself to a variety of "seasonal" fruits: soursop, guava, noni, water apples, papayas, bananas and everybody's favorite the delicious mangoes! The area is a peaceful haven, great for birdwatchers and nature lovers taking you back in time when time, slows down. If you're expecting FAST service, FAST Food Chains, Malls etc. this is not for you... So if you're in a HURRY to eat and run, make sure you go early, to compensate for some slow home cooked meals, to get on time!

The last picture is our Restaurant which is up for Sale or Rent, if you're looking for a change of pace or always dreaming of opening your own business, this is your opportunity! Come and check it out on vacation and making it your reality! This building could be easily converted to any kind of business and we also have a Liquor License. The Cozy Casita is located right behind the Restaurant (at the present NOT open for business), making it an exceptional opportunity, to manage your business on-site! The Casita and Restaurant are both for Sale at Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars!

We live in Florida USA, we randomly travel back and forth to oversee the business. Check-in at Mapi's Cabins next door. Please approach any of our friendly staff for any maintenance or housekeeping issues, otherwise, our staff will respect your privacy. Also by the office is a glass Information box, with an emergency number, Bus & Ferry Schedules etc. Our staff speaks mainly Spanish being it's difficult to find bilinguals in this remote area but it's the country's main language and we hope you can adapt, as part of the culture. Our staff will still try to communicate using online translators or they can reach us by Magic Jack from the office, which is also complimentary to you, for any of your USA calls.

How do damage deposits work?
