Casa Tambor:

Casa Tambor is a creative and ecological guesthouse with stunning views over the sea and the atlantic rainforest. We're located in a rural environment close to 5 beautiful beaches and just 8 km away from the city center Paraty. You get around by car, bus, transfer, walking or bike. At Casa Tambor you can relax in the hammock, watch colourful birds, find peace, get in touch with nature and enjoy lovely views. It's a peaceful and simple retreat in middle of the nature and still next to town.

The yellow cottage:

Chalet Amarelo (yellow house):

This comfortable chalet offers an amazing view over the sea and the rainforest. It is ideal to relax and enjoy the amazing nature.

The house offers:

- one room (18m2) with a double bed, a couch, air conditioning

- private bathroom with a hot water shower

- large balcony with hammock, table and chairs

- kitchenette with fridge, sink unit and kitchen utensils with sandwitch-maker/grill, microwave and coffee machine. There is no cooking top! Anyway the kitchen is good to prepare a nice breakfast as well as sandwitches, lunchs, salads, fruits and heat up foods.

Please notice:

- The car parking is at the entrance, you need to go up a 30 m stairway through the beautiful garden to reach the house.

- There is no TV and no internet so you can just enjoy the nature. In case of "emergency" we offer you internet and are willing to help you out. Also the cell phone internet is very good. Anyway in Paraty there is free internet.

    A peaceful and splendid getaway

    Everything was amazing, the location is nice, near to one of the best beach of Paraty. The little lodges feel super good and give a lot of autonomy with the kitchenette. I 100% recommand.

    I’m sorry you had and bad experience. There are no bugs but a tiny mosquito witch is in all the nature of Paraty at some time off the day in the period of summer when it’s really humid. The house has a new mosquito net and the guests can use the air condition, ventilador and repellent. This are the Brazilian ways for protection.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Katharina (the owner) a message.

    If Katharina (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
