Description

Set in the heart of the Loire Valley, Le Grenier offers a beautifully presented, individual, one-bedroom gite. Fusing traditional France with contemporary living, it provides excellent accommodation and has the benefit of its own private garden, as well as the use of La Rue Vaslin's superb facilities, which includes an 11 x 5m pool with large south-facing sun terrace and games barn with table tennis and bikes.

A hidden gem in the crown of the Loire, Le Grenier enjoys a stunning, tranquil, location, yet is within easy reach of the many vineyards and châteaux for which the region is famed. Featuring wi-fi broadband internet, UK satellite TV, DVD, and CD players, Le Grenier provides the perfect base for touring this popular and historic area of France … or to simply relax and do nothing!

The gite itself is a light and spacious upstairs apartment which has been carefully converted to retain many original features. The French windows in the kitchen open onto a small balcony, built above the old stone bread oven, giving magnificent views to the south and east over the surrounding countryside.

Le Grenier also benefits from a large double bedroom, shower room/WC, a spacious separate lounge with UK satellite TV/DVD and CD player and a large fitted kitchen with dining area and dishwasher.

Free wi-fi broadband internet access is available at La Rue Vaslin and there is a communal laundry room for guests' use.

Getting around

There is no public transport in the immediate vicinity so a car is highly recommended. We do provide bikes for guests' use, free of charge. These are provided on a first come basis and we rely on our guests to maintain their upkeep during their stay.

Interaction with guest

We do not live on-site but our ground agents are a lovely local English couple who tend to the property and gardens. They live about five minutes away so are quick to respond to guests' needs. As Le Grenier is one of three individual one-bedroom gites located at La Rue Vaslin (together with the master three-bedroom house), there are other guests there too. We have always found our guests to be hugely respectful of one another's privacy but we have also found that while they may arrive as strangers many go home as friends!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Anna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
