We do not take online bookings because we have had a holiday ruined where we booked to stay in the Dordogne, received the booking form which we completed immediately and were just about to send it back with a cheque when out of courtesy we rang to say it was just going in the post only to be told they had rented to another family. We would not like that to happen to others and often have waited a few days while people sort out their arrangements.

The other thing is please ignore the response rate as it is based on mail sent from just one location. Should we reply by smartphone or from any other location it does not register that we have replied.

Dating from 1850, La Croix Joreau is a group of converted farm buildings retaining many of their original features. The Pommier is a two bedroom ground floor apartment designed for wheelchair access with wider doorways, lower light switches and plugs, and a shower room designed with wheelchairs in mind.

The Pommier opens onto the courtyard and the evenings at La Croix Joreau offer a special atmosphere with the barbecue, games of petanque and the drinking of wine! Should it happen to rain our spacious barn offers a suitable alternative

There is a 10m x 5m swimming pool, children's play equipment as well as plenty of space for other games.

Should you not wish to cook we offer a Table d'hote option (especially popular on the day of arrival) with smaller portions and prices for younger children, and a vegatarian option if required

We are here to make your holiday as special as possible with advice about places to visit, restaurants to eat at or sharing a glass of wine with you.

Just inside the entrance is a car park where you can safely park your car leaving the courtyard free for games of petanque. There is a barbecue area. Behind the property is a children's play area and a large area for ball games. The swimming pool has large areas of shade for when the sun is too strong.

The Pommier is adapted for wheelchair use with wide doorways, lowered light switches and plugs, and a wet room.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Helen (the owner) a message.

If Helen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
