Completed Dec 2016. My wife and I build this home in over the course of 1 year and we decided to call it Podpadi, because of its peaceful rice field surroundings. We made sure the surroundings complement the space where nature is respected and encompassed by productive rice-fields and charming local villages, PodPadi has an ideal secluded sanctuary for families, couples or small groups of peaceful ambience seekers. Most importantly, it had to be functional, secure, sustainable & comfortable. Simplicity is key in this development and it has to also help the local community and people living in the area.

Interaction with guest

Mella and her family who speaks a little english will be seeing you through the check-in till check-out. Her english is not outstanding but she's definitely improving day by day just by interacting with guest. She'll will also be happy to let you in on everything you need to know while traveling in Bali and her surroundings. She's happy to share the cultures in Bali, and local slangs. This is one way we give back to our local community through creating job opportunities, teaching and social skill development. Interaction with staff depend on guest request, staff at the house: Daily cleaning service Daily pool/garden in the mornings Daily security Available private yoga lessons or tour guides available on request.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mervin (the owner) a message.

If Mervin (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
