From the owner

VILLA IPTAMENA is very different to most other Cyprus villas. Fifty years ago we bought the Shoemakers Cottage, a traditional 100 year village house. We have now built on a new villa and pool. The result is a stunning home which we live in through the winter.

The villa comes with lots of charm and character, retaining many of the original features in the old wing and at the same time offering masses of space. It is thus well suited for couples to share (each having their own quarters) or for extended family holidays. KEY FEATURES THAT MAKE US DIFFERENT TO OTHERS:

~~~ In the heart of the village with no other rental properties nearby, you will live in the company of Greek Cypriot neighbours, allowing you to experience a different culture and a different way of life.

~~~ High on a hillside overlooking 15 miles of Mediterranean coastline there is not a villa in Peyia that has a better view.

~~~ Built to catch both the views and the cooling breezes blowing up from the coast, every room has its own balcony, veranda or courtyard.

~~~ Just 250 meters away, it is but a short stroll down to the village square, to the restaurants, tavernas and village shops. From here the village bus will also take you on down to the beach (5 minutes) if you don't plan to hire a car.

~~~ Our garden has been lavished with love and attention over the years. It is packed not just with mature Mediterranean flowering shrubs but also mandarin oranges, grapes, pomegranates, pecans, grapefruit, almonds and much more.

~~~ This has been our home for 50 years and we have brought up our 3 daughters here. It is a warm, welcoming place, full of interesting items collected over the years and equipped with everything you will need. VILLA IPTAMENA is NOT a featureless holiday rental. It is a place with soul and character.

Many of our guests have been to the VILLA IPTAMENA more than once but if you are not one of them you may not know just how much there is to do and see in this part of Greek Cyprus. To start with it is undeniably the most attractive end of the island with hills, forests and the wild beauty of Cyprus's one and only National Park right on the doorstep. Secondly it is just over one mile to the two best sandy beaches in west Cyprus - at Coral Bay. Thirdly, there is a wealth of activities available in the Paphos District from swimming, water sports and diving to walking, exploring the wilderness of Akamas, ancient sites or golf, water parks, wine routes and eco-tourism. But for many it is the warm, friendly welcome that you will receive from these most traditional of Greek Cypriot village people - just as they have welcomed us into their community over many years.

The place is cleaned on the day of your arrival, beds are made up and a complimentary welcome pack of basic provisions provided for you.     How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Margaret (the owner) a message.

    If Margaret (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
