Maison de la Gargoyle is on the first floor of an ancient stone building. Entering through an impressive wooden door and internal courtyard, you climb the stone stairs, enjoying the coolness inside.

This charming rustic apartment has a unique mix of modern and antique french furnishings designed to be lived in and enjoyed.

The large master bedroom has a king sized bed [convertable to 2 singles] and windows on two sides, overlooking both the street and stone terrace. Perfect for couples or two people, the apartment also has a second bedroom with a double sofa bed so can be enjoyed as a reading room over looking the terrace or a childrens bedroom.

Enjoy your fresh breakfast croissant from one of the many local patisseries or a late afternoon aperitif on the cool stone terrace!

The weekly Saturday markets are in the main street, less than a minutes walk away. Peruse the apartment's french recipe books [in English] before cooking your market purchases in the new multisetting oven.

Or with many excellent restaurants and cafes within an easy stroll around the town, you are spoilt for choice.

The beaches of the mediterranean from Cap d'Agde to Sete are within 20 minutes away and the town is surrounded by vineyards and other picturesque villages.

With autoroutes easily accessible, it only takes 3hrs to drive to Barcelona, 40 mins to Montpellier, Canal du Midi and Narbonne, 1 hr to Millau, Carcassone and Pont du Gard. The city of Beziers with major transport and shopping facilities is 20 minutes away.

There is free or paid parking areas close by within easy walking distance.

Parking is readily available as there are several car parks within easy walking distance. Free parking is within 5 minutes walk or there is metered [during week days] parking within 25 metres of the apartment.

Public parks are within a few minutes walk.
The bus station to other cites and towns is 5 minutes away.

Do not park in Rue Jean Jaurès on Friday night as your car will be towed away for the Saturday markets.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Michael (the owner) a message.

If Michael (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
