Blue Wren Cottage is able to accommodate 4 – 6 people.
The Homestead Room is a queen bed spa room with ensuite accommodating two.
The Rustic Room can either be two single beds or a king bed with double spa and ensuite accommodating two.
One couple may book exclusive use of the cottage where the bedroom of your choice will be available to you plus the kitchen, lounge, dining and verandah for your exclusive use.
The Blue Wren Cottage is often used by brides (or bridegrooms) as the perfect venue for them and their attendants to be together the night before the wedding and to dress, be photographed and prepare on the wedding day. See our Wedding Package here.
The lounge is furnished with two large comfy sofas, a TV, DVD/CD player, a stereo, heating, ceiling fan and dining area for four. Books, magazines, games, cards, DVDs and CDs are all provided and there are a variety of outdoor games available as well.
The Lounge has a double sofa bed for two which allows the Blue Wren Cottage to accommodate six in total. Guests using the sofa bed would need to share one of the en-suites.
The Kitchen has a SMEG oven and gas cooktop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, electic frypan, pod coffee machine & frother and all crockery, cutlery, linen and cooking utensils – everything you need for a country getaway!
Blue Wren Cottage offers a choice for breakfast. If you choose to cook your own we will provide you with all the provisions for a very hearty, country breakfast including eggs from our chooks and homebaked bread. Or you are welcome to come up the hill to Dreamcatcher Lodge for breakfast and indulge in a gourmet spread (click here to see our current menu) with our other guests in front of the fire in the guest lounge, or on the Great Room verandah.
French doors from the bedrooms and lounge lead to a generous verandah with rocking chair waiting! There is an outdoor table setting, a comfy rocking chair and, of course, a fabulous view. There is also an outdoor BBQ close by in the Gazbarn available for your use.
Sit back with a cuppa or a glass of local wine and just enjoy the expansive rural scene whilst watching the blue wrens and finches busy in the gums and grass. In the dam below our family of ducks get up to all sorts of antics and our alpaca and goats will probably come over to say hello! We have frequent visits from a variety of birdlife – lorrikeets, sulphur crested and black cockatoos, plovers, galahs, hawks, falcons and occasionally a possum will scamper across the roof.
