The second floor consists of a bath, eat-in kitchen, two bedrooms (each with a queen sized bed), and small office. The third floor is a large living room with a walk out to a large deck. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare, cook, and serve a simple meal or snack. Appliances include a refrigerator, gas stove, coffee maker, toaster oven, and coffee maker. In the basement is a washer & dryer, free of charge to use and includes detergent and dryer sheets.The property is located two blocks from three bus lines to downtown, Oakland (University of Pittsburgh, UPMC), and Heinz Field/PNC Park. It is five blocks from Children's Hospital and West Penn Hospital and an easy, 2-3 block walk to two separate business districts (with grocery store, Rite-Aid, restaurants, banks, etc.). On-street parking available for up to two vehicles.Heating is maintained at a 68-70 temperature during the cold weather months. If you are unusually sensitive to cold, or keep your heat at a setting above 70 degrees, it is not a fit for you. There is a window a/c unit in each bedroom (June-August), and a ceiling fan in the kitchen. if you are accustomed to central air, this property is not a fit for you. Monthly rates start at $2,750/month and are at the sole discretion of the owner.
This is not a fit for travelers:
- who feel uncomfortable using technology on their own (WiFi, keyless entry system, remote control for tv)
- who are accustomed to having onsite staff available 24/7
- who may not like staying in a working class, urban neighborhood.
