1917 Mill House is named for its long history as a boarding house for immigrant mill workers who came to America during the 1800's and rented rooms in these houses.

1917 Mill House is in a historic district and in the city's most popular neighborhood adjacent to UPMC hospital. The house is centrally located (but still very private and quiet) and is close to every major sporting venue: Heinz Field (Steelers), PNC Park (Pirates), Highmark Field (Riverhounds) and Consol Center (Penguins). The neighborhood is known for its active nightlife as well for its colorful and vibrant daytime activities in heart of South Side. We are right on the Allegheny Historic Bike Trail and house has storage for bicycles.

The house is well cared for, beautifully decorated and very spacious. We have tried to make it a home away from home and added many small conveniences and luxuries. There is a beautifully lit and comfortable courtyard for relaxing in the evenings.

We pay attention to details and take care of our guests. Please check out our reviews.

The house was built in the early 1900's. It has stairs to all bedrooms. May not be suitable for young children or persons with limited mobility.

A minimum 4 night stay consecutive stay between the dates of November 20 -November 27 is required. Nightly rate is $399/per night. Property sleeps 9 and is professionally decorated for the holidays.

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEARS EVE

Minimum stay is 4 nights consecutive nights from Monday, December 18 - Tuesday, December December 27 at a rate of $399/ per night for 6 guests. Additional guests are charged at a rate of $25/per person. This must include Christmas Eve or Christmas Day or both. Sleeps 9 persons and is professionally decorated for the holidays with Christmas trees and hundreds of twinkling lights. Everything you need for a memorable family holiday...trees, lights and beautiful decorations , inside and out. A no hassle holiday and you even get a holiday remembrance and holiday cookies & treats!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Eileen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
