Very Good

“High quality villa in secluded location, yet 5 minutes from a very pretty traditional market town.”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2015

Just spent a perfect week at the villa - lovely location on the edge of a vineyard, and just a few km away from the very pretty traditional French town of La Plan de la Tour, which has several fantastic restaurants, shops, cafes and bakeries. The villa itself was previously a family home that is now being let out, and this gives the whole place a much more special, loved and cared-for feel - the furnishings, decor, fixtures etc. are cohesive, and not simply thrown together for a rental as can often be the case. The pool is larger than average, the villa is roomy and has plenty of outdoor spaces for sitting, eating, lazing and snoozing etc.., all within very nicely manicured gardens. Sophie and Fred live nearby, are friends of the owners, and are on hand to help with any house or local issues, and both were very welcoming/accommodating - e.g. we didn't arrive until after 1am due to a flight delay, which was no problem for them (thanks again, and sorry Sophie!) This is, as you've read, a glowing review, and I can only add by saying we have already booked again for next year.

“Superb villa”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2015

The location was fantastic, surrounded by vineyards and mountains. The photos really don't do the property justice. We went with another family and when we got to the villa we all just said, 'wow'. The swimming pool was fantastic and massive for the nine of us that stayed. The kitchen and living room were so much bigger than we expected. Plan de la tour is a great town with lovely restaurants and the locals in the shops were friendly and helpful. If you stay at the villa you must visit the pizza restaurant at the top of the road near the villa. Easily best pizzas around! If you get fed up with barbeques then another must is to go into St Maxime. A busy town in the summer with great shops and restaurants. St Maxime is family friendly and has a beautiful harbour. From St Maxime you can catch a boat to St Tropez which is worth visiting just to see how the other half live!!! Whilst we stayed Sophie and Fred looked after all our needs. The garden is massive and our kids were constantly playing or playing football with the big goal. We have not stopped talking about our holiday, wish we were still there and we hope to go back. I'm sure if you go there you will want to stay and never go home!!! Steve and family

“very relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2015

Going with teenagers is always tricky but they were happy with access to wifi and a wide choice of programs on the TV. The pool is lovely and we spent a lot of time around it. The grounds are also lovely with lots of little seating areas. The local village Le Plan de la Tour is great - nice restaurants, convenient for small supermarket and bakery. Sophie and Fred were also very helpful and always on the end of the phone if needed. We had a great time.

“Relaxing villa in the vineyards”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2015

We stayed with another family with young children. It was great for the kids as the pool is big and the garden fully enclosed. The house is bright and airy and immaculately clean. It has all mod cons like air con in the bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen and satellite tv for the sports!! The village is typically provencal and has a great atmosphere with good restaurants in the evening. The beaches only 20 mins drive too. Had a great holiday and would love to go back soon!
