“Lovely spacious villa with great kitchen”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2018

The Villa is on an estate outside Playa Blanca but this was not a problem as we had a hire car and taxis are also very cheap to either the centre or the Marina. The Villa is very spacious, clean and well equipped. Pool lovely and when it went a little chilly at night we could still sit in the conservatory for dinner with the doors open. The kitchen was great and we also used the BBQ a few times which worked well. Thank you for the welcome pack of coffee, milk, fruit and wine. Nice touch. Two minor criticisms - the safe did not work even after re-setting it. The barrels on the door would not draw back to enable you to shut the door. Also would like more towels available, Otherwise excellent.

Thank you so much Susan for taking the time to leave a positive review about the villa. I'm glad you enjoyed the accomodation and all its facilities. Thank you for informing about the issues regarding the safe and the towels. I take this opportunity to remind all our guests that a deposit is requested to use the safe in order to get the key that unlocks the safe for using it. Guests should not be afraid to contact our referent person during their stay in order to report any doubt or issue and give us the possibility to manage all their requests and quicky solve possible minor issues such as providing extra towels. While we respect our guest's privacy, communication is still very important to us, that's why we provide contact numbers before the arrival and we are at your disposal at any time. Thanks again Susan, we look forward to seeing you again soon! Riccardo

“Lovely villa, lovely weather”

Reviewed 19 Feb 2017

I don't know why someone on here left a bad review and left after 1 hour. I would have gladly taken their week's holiday here. The villa is spotlessly clean, has a great private pool and the owner was really fast in responding to emails & whatsapp messages before and during our stay. The few questions and requests we had (more bedding & towels, us of the bike etc.) were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Wifi was great. No a/c in the villa which may be a problem during the summer but lots of doors, windows and fans. You will definitely need a car to get about. I did have a problem finding the villa as my satnav didn't work and the 2 lots of directions I had on paper didn't really 'work' for me as most of the roads don't have roadnames clearly displayed (if at all). Easiest and most straightforward directions are as follows: From the airport take the LZ-2 towards Playa Blanca. Take it all the way into Playa Blanca until you hit the sea and the road bends to the left, then take the coast road keeping the sea parallel to your right. Eventually you will come to a mini roundabout with a wall in front of you and to the right with the words ‘San Marcial Del Rubicon’ printed on it. Turn left at this roundabout into what looks like a large car park and follow the signs to ‘Lanzarote Green Villas’ until you hit a T junction. This will be Calle Cyca and the Villa is on the left corner (number 12). We stayed in Feb and the weather was hot and sunny all week (1 cloudy day). We will definitely be back !!

Driving into the resort you are faced with grey skeletal buildings Majority of villas in the area are either not complete, abandoned, unkept and overgrown Lone security guard more likely there to discourage squatters rather than for holiday makers protection Peace and quiet equals desolate and abandoned Stayed for one hour and left! One small positive. Owner was very helpful during booking process

Dear Ali, I am very sorry and surprised, at the time, to hear that you've been seriously unsatisfied with the villa. While I respect your "unfair" review, I have to point out a few things, just to help our features guest reading this review by providing more details and the correct information: Despite your description, the resort is safe and well kept, and the estate was completed in 2008. I don't think "squatters" would get into "skeletal" or "uncompleted" buildings, if that's your concern. I confirm instead that security guards where there for both neightbors and holidaymakers protection. For your info, about the desolate and abandoned areas you said you've met on your way, I think you should address your complaint to the Major who is in charge for the maintenance of all areas of the municipality, not to landlords which are responsible only on their own property. Please note the pictures published on our AD come from a photo shoot which was taken from a professional photographer of HolidayLettings (TripAdvisor partner) who visited the property personally. They show our villa and also other villas next to, thus the photos you've posted here have clearly been taken on other properties, not our. That being said, It is very regrettable that there has not been given us the chance to handle this situation from the beginning, before you moved to an alternative accommodation. If we would have been informed before, maybe we could have discussed on it and try to find a solution in someway. About this, me and Mr Alexis (our on site referent person) where both reachable at the contact numbers provided all day long, but unfortunately neither of us has received any calls/text messages from you, until an email arrived from you on late evening, saying you wouldn't stay at our accommodation because you had found a new one to move in. Was that the property your were talking about to me before confirming the booking with CasaVitturi? You remember the one you told me you had located in the "same area" and asked me if I could match their cost? As you know we did our best to you to meet your budget, to the point that you decided to book with us. Is that maybe, once arrived in Lanzarote, you went to negotiate a still better rate with the other owner and decided to move to the other property anyway? For sure, in my opinion, claiming the full refund of this reservation after finding an alternative accommodation, leaving the villa without providing a good reason and without discussing it first with the owner before moving to another property, it probably wasn't a good move. In fact, in order that TA confirmed that the information provided on our AD was correct and adequate, your request was not accorded since there where no grounds for a refund after leaving the accommodation on arrival day. By the way, I hope the new accommodation you've chosen have met your requirements and that you had a pleasant stay in Lanzarote. I trust my clarifications, provided in due time by email to you, have been here of help also for future customers. Sincerely, Riccardo

“fantastic villa”

What a wonderful villa,we stayed here the end of May with husband,3 sons eldest sons girlfriend and grandson. The villa itself is just how it is the photos ,it was lovely and clean and kitchen was well equipped. The pool was used daily but i would recommend heating on in May it was a bit chilly for grandson. The conservatory was great to sit and have lunch. The surrounding villas were largely empty which for us was a bonus it was quiet and private. We hired a car but didn't use it much, this holiday was for relaxing by the pool and walking to the beach which isn't very far away.A five minute walk is the super market with every thing you need there.Further away you will find some great restaurants (Larnis) Lovely food but a bit on the expensive side.To sum it all up we would go back tomorrow!

“Excellent holiday”

Reviewed 4 May 2015

Sad to be back from an excellent holiday, from the first contact with Ricardo it was straight forward and speedy replys. The villa was to a high standard and clean and spacious enough for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The area was very quiet and the security guards on site made you feel very safe. Once you get to know your way around which doesn't take long there are supermarkets and restaurants close by. The whole island is very clean and the scenery is breathtaking. We went on quite a few trips and would recommend the timanfaya nation park, the teguise market and rancho Texas lanzarote park they were excellent. The food was also great and the people are very helpful and friendly. We walked nearly everyday to the rubicon marina which has a variety of restaurants, local shops and market. Would recommend visiting lanzarote it is such a beautiful island, we even saw a stingray in the marina and my teenage kids thought it was amazing, revisiting next year...can't wait.

“Loved it.”

Stay at this Villa with 5 Adults and 3 kids. Ricardo was very accommodating and even put in an extra bed when my brother and his son decided to join us last minute. He was quick to reply to any emails and provided us with lots of info on the villa and the town Playa Blanca. The Villa was very clean and well equipped with a washing machine and all mod cons. The pool was lovely and the kids were in it all day long. It cooled us down when the day was at its warmest. The villa is in a very quiet area and is surrounded by other villas that were empty so it was very peaceful and relaxing for my parents. By the time we arrived it was dark so the villa was tricky to find. The marina Rubicon (about 10 mins away) was very nice with loads of restaurants and bars and shops. There is a market on a Thursday that had all sorts of lovely gifts and products. I recommend that you hire a car as its 40 mins form the airport and 10 minutes from the main strip/town. We hired 2 and drove around all week and only used around €20 worth of diesel where a taxi itself would of cost €45 from the airport. We visited the volcano and Rancho Texas which were both great fun for the kids. The latter is a water park and an animal park so hours of fun!!! I would highly recommend staying at Cassa Vitturi. We will definitely be returning in the future.

“A peaceful, relaxing stay”

Reviewed 16 Apr 2014

We booked this villa based on previous reviews which we found to be accurate. Good communication, Ricardo was always prompt to reply with information. The villa was a bit tricky to find but we rung Mr Manolo who met us and took us straight to villa. We found it was useful to have a contact in the resort and he was very helpful. The villa was equipped with all you need and was very clean and comfortable, it looks exactly as the photos show. Our children loved the pool we did pay the extra for pool heating which I think you would need at time of our trip. It did have TV but the only English Channel is BBC world news, we didn't find this a problem as we are happy not to watch TV on holiday!! It does have free wifi which was very useful. I would recommend hiring a car, the cost of the car hire is very reasonable and cheaper than taxi transfers from airport which is about 35 mins away. The villa is about 5 min drive to Marina Rubicon which we were very impressed with. The overall area was very quiet as most of the surrounding villas are all empty. We all had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

“Fantastic villa”

Reviewed 21 Mar 2014

Great villa. Very modern and new. All amenities were fantastic. Location was great although a little tricky to find - very close to the beach and many shops. Only issues were that the rooms had no curtains, just nets, but not a problem for us. Pool very nice as was the conservatory for breakfast in the mornings. Lots of restaurants in close proximity. Would recommend car hire though to get around. Overall very pleased with the choice and would stay again

“The accommodation was superb and finished to a high standard”

Reviewed 2 Jan 2013

I stayed in this villa in December 2012 with my husband, 2 young children and my parents. The accommodation was superb and finished to a high standard, the only 2 issues I had were 1. there was no gate on the side of the property, which meant that the back patio/pool area were not secure (which was not ideal with having 2 young children) and 2. the pool could not be heated, the pool was so cold that we could not use it, which was a big disappointment. Location wise the property was quite far out from the town which was nice as it was quiet and peaceful at night time, we had hired a car from the airport and we definitely needed it for getting around as it would have been to far too walk to the beach and the main town.

We are glad to read that you and your family enjoyed the stay at Casa Vitturi. While we appreciate and respect your review, I have to point out two things: 1) the property is secured by an enclosure wall and lockable gates. 2) Pool is not heated as indicated on the ad's villa description and in our answer to your booking enquiry. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you, and we inform you that, about the heated pool, we are now considering the possibility to give this service in the future and as soon as it will be available we'll publish it on our ad. Thank you.
