Casa Palmera - description

This delightful south facing semi detached villa is located in a residential area. Just a 8 minute stroll from the picturesque Marina Rubicon with many shops, bars and restaurants and only a 15 minute stroll to the beautiful white sands of Playa Dorada Beach and the town centre.

The villa has three good size bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes. There is a large living area complete with a well equipped kitchen, dining for 6 and lounge area complete with a 40" LED TV and stereo with IPOD dock. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and overhead shower and a second bathroom with a fitted shower cubicle.

There are two covered terraces. One with a built in BBQ for outside dining and seating for 6, the other provides a shaded area near to the pool. The pool is 5.3 m x 2.25 m and is 1.4 m deep throughout with roman steps at one end and is covered throughout the year (heating optional upon request at an additional cost of £50 per week).

The Villa is very well equipped with a four ring electric ceramic hob with an oven and grill.

A microwave, fridge freezer and a washing machine are also fitted.

Air conditioning/heating units are in the living room and all bedrooms (coin operated)

The main bedroom has a king size bed, the second a double bed and there are two single beds in the third bedroom.

A cot and a highchair are available upon request for an additional charge.

Please note: No beach towels are provided.

Wifi is optionally available upon request.

Getting around

A car is only needed if you would like to travel out of Playa Blanca and explore the beautiful island of Lanzarote. There is a lot do within a 20 minute walk The local bus leaves every 30 minutes form the end of the road into town and the other end of Playa Blanca. Taxis are easy to call and cheap (eg 3€ into town) Airport transfers are easy to arrange too.

Interaction with guest

Casa Palmera has a key safe so the guests can let themselves in - we generally supply the code 1-2 days prior to arrival. We live locally but prefer to take the hands-off approach to allow our guests to relax. Generally we will pop by the day after arrival to say hello and check all is in order and would always be available in case needed.

Stayed here as a family of 5 in August 2019. The villa is well equipped and modern, with comfortable beds. The pool was a little small for our needs, but this did not impact on on our stay. The real plus of this villa is the location, it is a short stroll to the lovely marina (be sure to visit the market here when it is on) and a little further into Playa Blanca. The friendly owners David and Anne live nearby and are on hand if you need any help with anything, even dropping in a card for our daughters birthday, which is above and beyond. We really enjoyed our stay.

( Review by Bella) We stayed at this beautiful villa from the 6th of June for 7 nights. Was fabulous!! Anne & Dave could not have been more lovely. They live at the back of the villa so it’s very reassuring to know there’s help at hand if needed. The villa it’s self was absolutely spotless, a home from home and had everything we needed. The heated pool was fab! The children had such fun together especially with the big box of pool accessories round the back. Barbecue area was lovely and shaded to relax and eat away from the heat. I received a lovely bottle of fizz and a birthday card on my birthday which was extremely kind of them. I felt very safe at this villa which is a massive deal to me as I have 3 children aged 17,12 & 4 and don’t usually sleep when we’re away but we all slept really well and felt secure. The villa is literally a 5 min walk from Rubicon marina which is absolutely stunning!! Lots of beautiful restaurants to enjoy and a big market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Evening cocktails overlooking the marina was amazing! Just before you get to the marina there is an indoor shopping precinct which has a supermarket and cash machine. There is also a little indoor play area for children and a bowling alley which was good fun for all the family. If you take a right by the marina you can walk right along the coast passing beautiful beaches on the way and ending up in the main town. Lots of lovely shops as well as the usual tourist ones as well as more restaurants. Overall this was such a beautiful holiday for us and we were so gutted to leave. We wished we’d of stayed for longer the minute we got there. We can not wait to return hopefully next year but obviously stay for longer as there’s so much more we would like to do. We have just come back from Casa Palmera playa Blanca. The villa had everything we needed. The couple David & Annie are there for you and are very welcoming. It's in a lovely location just a 8 min stroll to the beautiful rubicon marina with very nice shops and a good selection of restaurants. A further 15 min stroll brings you to a beautiful white sandy beach with water sports.

We stayed here over Christmas and new year and had a great time.The villa has everything you need it was home from home,in a good location close to the marina ,restaurant's,bars and supermarkets.Would recommend.

“A Chilled Place for Those Wanting Shade in the Sun to a Sun Worshippers Delight”

My fiance and I had had a very chilled and relaxed week. A good sized property with good shade for those that want it and a plenty of space for those sun worshippers, wanting a tan along with a good sized pool to cool off in. All mod cons in the sitting room and kitchen and never any shortage of hot water.. well worth a week away in the sun and plenty of places to go and eat in the nearby Rubicon Marina with its range of good local restuarants which is only a 6 minute walk away..if that ..!!
