Welcome to the best strip of beach in Playa Del Carmen. Villa Ensueno (formerly Villa Mimac) is a fully equipped 5 bedroom plus separate casita only a block from the beach. The famous 5th Avenue is a 15 minute walk to the best shopping and restaurants in the Mayan Riviera. Now over 1,000 restaurants! If you don't want to walk, taxis pass by every minute or two at the entrance to our street. We have room for several cars in the private driveway. The home is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the gated community of Playacar, only a block from the Playacar golf course. The entrance to the community is guarded and we have security patrolling the streets 24 hours a day.

The beach by the house is set amongst multi million dollar houses and is a great place for kids to play in the sand or if you are like me, a great place to launch your kite for kiteboarding. Want more action? Walk along the beach for 15 minutes or so towards town and Senior Frogs is there and the start of 5th avenue.

Each of the 3 main bedrooms on the upper floor has its own ensuite and shower. There is a 4th bedroom upstairs with twin beds and a half bathroom. Off the kitchen on the main floor is the 5th main house bedroom with double bed and full ensuite. Steps from the back door is our separate guest house called the casita. It has a double bed and full ensuite on the second floor.

The grand dining room has enough to seat 10 along with the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen was recently renovated with granite counters and new appliances. We have satellite TV and free WIFI in the house if you need to stay connected.

A brand new infinity pool with waterfall plus all new backyard patios and palapa area just completed. Solar heated as well. Plus we have a large community pool if you want to do laps and a tennis court steps from the back door shared by only 3 streets.

We have the best location and size home in the area. When you book a full week we are also including three days of someone who will come in and cook you breakfast if you provide the groceries, and will do a spot clean to sweep up the marble floors to keep things fresh for you. Don't want the breakfast prepared? No problem, we can add the time to the cleaning.

Also keep you eyes up in the backyard, we have a resident monkey who is elusive but does like to make the occasional appearance high in the trees!

We have a local English and Spanish speaking management company who will ensure every step of your vacation is a success. From communication of all the steps to arrival at the home, taking a secure payment, and having maintenance staff available for immediate resolution of any issues.

We are a Canadian family living in the U.S. and fell in love with the area the first time visited Playa Del Carmen. We bought the home to create memories for our children and hope you join us creating special ones for yours.

Why can't I call Gordon (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Gordon (the owner) a message.

If Gordon (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
