Two of the best Kauai snorkeling beaches, a shore dive site (located in a bay below the lanai,) and three surfing spots are right out the door, on the South side of the building. Next door, at the furthest end of our property at Kuhio Shores, is the Beach House Restaurant, world famous for Pacific Rim dishes and most of all, for the view; your ocean view everyday during your stay! We welcome you to stay at our "Jewel on the Sea," luxury, beauty and comfort right on the ocean, #305 Kuhio Shores.
Every time we walk into our Kauai oceanfront home, the expansive view of the ocean and lush coastline takes our breath away! From the third floor (four in all,) our home is a "Hale Honu" or "House of Turtles," where you will enjoy watching endangered sea turtles feeding while relaxing on the lanai. One guest, a past resident of Oahu, told us that he saw more turtles during his week- long stay with us than during the entire twenty years that he lived in Hawaii. In the winter see blowholes as humpback whales make their epic journey to give birth here, in the warm Hawaiian Pacific. During our first trip to Kauai, a concierge told us that the best snorkeling was by the Beach House Restaurant so we snorkeled there, were dazzled by the numbers of colorful tropical fish so came back everyday, never dreaming that someday we would be able to own a condo right at this very special place.
Awarded as one of the best vacation rentals worldwide by TripAdvisor, our oceanfront "Jewel on the Sea" exceeds our dreams! If you are on your honeymoon, wish to recapture the romance in your relationship or you just want to experience the awesome beauty and serenity of this "Jewel on the Sea" by yourself, with your family or friends, this is the ideal home for you to rent while vacationing on the Garden Island of Kauai.
In our completely private third floor home the only thing you hear is the crashing of the waves. As soon as you open the front door, your eyes go out to the ocean. Unobstructed views from floor to ceiling windows in the kitchen, living room, bedroom, dining room and the lanai make this an experience of a lifetime.
Our home reflects the Hawaiian tropics. Beauty and comfort are our priority. Bamboo floors glisten in the light of the morning sunlight creating a peaceful, clean atmosphere. The rich, classic Italian Noccino marble shower with stone accents is a spa retreat; Iridescent Verdi Peacock Gold Brazilian Granite in the kitchen and stainless appliances reflect the cool colors of the ocean. During our remodel, a wall was reconfigured so that the ocean breeze gets pulled throughout the condo, keeping you comfortably cool day and night. We splurged on the best fans on the market according to CNet, the "Haiku." (the company's name is hilarious but I can't post it here because of the censors but I will send you the name when you contact me). They are hanging sculptures. and are quiet and efficient. It is rare for condos in Kauai to have air conditioning but we recently installed air conditioning so, you will always be comfortable.
The ultra luxurious memory foam pillow-top cal king size bed is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. We begin with a shielding mattress cover. Next we place a cool gel pad on top of the mattress and cover that with a protective mattress cover for extra cleanliness. Cool high thread count sheets cover the gel pad and mattress. We rotate quilts. You may find a silk filled cotton comforter covered by a clean cotton duvet, topped with an embroidered silk scarf or you may find a Tommy Bahama or tropical style quilt set. These are constantly cleaned and rotated. For the queen size pull-out couch, we keep an additional gelfoam pad for extra comfort. Two Hawaiian style reclining chairs are perfect for laying back to watch waves, listen to music or watch TV. The hand carved dining room table with rattan chairs is your exclusive seat to spot playful spinner dolphins. Artwork reflects the lushness and peace of Kauai. We love the arts and in the condo is original artwork a reverse painting on glass by renown abstract artist, Fred Gemmell and Kauai pastel artist, Helen Turner, the Degas of Kauai. The condo is located on an ancient lava flow that juts out into the sea. Relax on the lanai as the waves roll past the lanai, towards the shore. Hearing the lull day and night from inside automatically helps you relax. Seeing a rainbow or the moon shimmering over the water creates lifetime memories. The "Aloha Spirit" truly exists on the island of Kauai and we do our best to bring this spirit into our home. We look forward to hearing from you! Kevin and Molla Wallace

Sometimes VRBO’s don’t live up to their descriptions on the website and so we were very pleasantly surprised when Molla’s condo exceeded our expectations. The cozy and beautifully-appointed living room opens onto a deck with a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean. The lovely murmur of lightly-breaking ocean waves not only lulled me to sleep every night but transformed my overworked nerves into a state of tranquility from the moment I arose each morning. Right outside, sea turtles bob up and down near the shoreline and just a few yards away, there are fantastic areas in which to snorkel and hike. Located in a strategic area in Poipu, we were close to local restaurants (also, the best one in town, “The Beach House,”) and boutique shops, but far enough away to feel like we had the island to ourselves. Also, we were just a few miles away from Waimea Canyon (what Mark Twain called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,”) and to Lihue Airport which offers breathtaking helicopter trips around the island. It is close to the departure point for catamaran tours to the Napali Coast too but we couldn’t fit that into our schedule on this trip (next time!). The condo kitchen is well-stocked with all the necessary and up-to-date equipment, there is a nice-sized flat screen television and the condo’s neighbors were very quiet—we never heard a peep out of anyone. We were assured that if we did encounter any unforeseen problem (which we did not), Molla or the property manager, Albert, would take care of it. We have traveled to many countries on different continents, but I have to say, Molla’s condo in Poipu ranks as one of our most relaxing and memorable vacations. Thank you Molla for a lovely trip!
“Perfect stay”

We stayed here in Feb and the location was great, right on the ocean, the views were fabulous and I loved the sound of the waves going to sleep.
Molla was a joy to work with, answered every e-mail, sent a incredible amount of information about the island, where to go, favorite spots, car rental info, farmers market, etc, she even e-mailed us while we were there to see how things were going and if we needed anything.
The condo had everything you needed, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers for packing your lunches to head out for a great day exploring.
Condo was clean and property was immaculate, always someone there cleaning and looking after the grounds.
We had a fantastic time and would definitely would return.
Thanks Molla for sharing your home with us and have a great time in April.
