Goldenbirds Homestay is a family-run homestay running since 2010 located 15 minutes walking distance from the famous tourist destination of Pokhara, Lakeside where people have the opportunity to learn about Nepalese culture, Food, local lifestyles, language, and other local experiences in typical Nepali Family Environment. In our Homestay, we try to give our sincere effort to give excellent customer service as per the requirements of our Guests in every problem. Our guests can jointly live with our family as family members and eat together without missing their home and their loved one. We are running four guest rooms with attached Bathrooms and one shared kitchen and we also have a lovely German Shepard ( Micky ) on our house to greet you.

Shanti is our main chef; she cooks the food as per your requirements but mostly she is very good at cooking Nepali food which will be an interesting experience for you as well during your stay in Pokhara. Dharma is helping you for welcoming you to the homestay and communicating your needs while staying in our Homestay. We are a simple Nepali family with our 2 sons Santosh ( Elder ) and Subodh( Younger) living in the same house with fun and love.

Besides the homestay, we have various things to do services, while your stay at Pokhara. We have an option for Homestay in a village of the Kaski district for those guests who want to know more about the Local lifestyle culture and traditions of the Himalayan Nation. You will enjoy the real rural life of Nepal when you spend time locally and will learn many new things about their lifestyle and it will be completely different experiences from the developed world which will be great fun and memories throughout your life.

Other than living locally, if you are passionate about making a difference to the rural local community and exchange the ideas and information’s that you are willing to share, we can arrange various volunteering programs available, like teaching any Languages to the school kids at both Government and Private Schools, you can also volunteer as a health professional at the Government Health clinics, sharing computer skills to the school kids and housewife’s and also if you want to share your modern agriculture tips and tricks we can connect you to the local farmers and farmhouses who are passionate to learn new information & technology from your expertise.

While you stay at our Home, we will love to help with your queries regarding your stay and accommodation and things to do suggestions around Pokhara. In our free time, our family loves to chat with you, and please don't hesitate to ask us anything that comes up in your mind. We will handover your room keys on your arrival but the house is open because we live in the same home. I hope you will not miss your beloved home back :).We have 2 boys, Subodh and Santosh. They both love to interact with you and learn new things. If you need any help & suggestions regarding the Travel queries and other interesting things to do here in Pokhara, we will be happy to help and manage through some of the experienced Travel companies in Town.

Extremely sorry, we don't allow any Pets in our house, it doesn't mean we are not Pet lovers but we have very limited space to handle it. But the good news is, we have also one German Shepherd dog and his name is Mickey and he is very honest and lovely to play :)
You will be living in a family home and we expect you to be on a good behavior and please raise your any queries and complain to Dharma.

Why can't I call Goldenbirds (the owner) before booking?

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Goldenbirds (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Goldenbirds (the owner) a message.

If Goldenbirds (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
