It has an 8m x 4m private swimming pool with roman steps, air-conditioning to bedrooms, wall mounted flat screen TV in lounge with Satellite & DVD, washing machine, dishwasher an open fire (for those cooler off-season evenings) large stone built BBQ, Kleftico/Bread oven, garden area for children to play (with swing), wireless internet/wi-fi and more. The setting is both serene and spectacular with the rolling hills of the nearby forests and the not too distant sea giving views you'll remember forever. Pomos village benefits from some great tavernas the most famous being Kannali Fish Tavern which is by Pomos harbour and serves up the best catch daily. It is easy to reach the local supermarket, an atm and other basic amenities. Polis centre is a 15-20 minute drive away and where you will continue to find a taste of the real Cyprus. With its many restaurants, central square, supermarkets and other amenities it really is the best of both worlds. Latchi Beach and Marina are just a further 5 minutes drive away where you can sample local fish, hire a boat, do watersports or just relax on the soft golden sand. There is much to see and do in the area including Santa Marina amusements at Ayia Marina, Baths of Aphrodite, Forest Walks and perhaps even a trip across the local border to North Cyprus.

DETAILS OF THE INTERIOR

After accessing the villa's grounds by large iron gates and covered driveway, the villa's front door opens into a large open plan space comprising the dining/kitchen & lounge. The cool and comfortable lounge has 2 distinct sections and is furnished with large corner sofa's facing the Flat Screen TV with Satellite & DVD player on one side and a more traditional relaxation area with seating in front of the open fireplace. The open log fire is a great advantage for those who wish some daytime sunshine and a cosy evening atmosphere in cooler winter months. The lounge has its own door leading out to the garden. The dining/breakfasting kitchen is equipped with a table and four chairs. The fully equipped kitchen has modern appliances including, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, gas hob and extractor hood, microwave, coffee maker and other extras. The main door from the kitchen opens out onto the pool terrace which hosts a large picnic style table and benches seating 6-8 and on to the beautifully kept enclosed garden and private pool area.A nice airflow is maintained by keeping the front door and patio doors open at the same time allowing comfortable temperatures even in the height of summer. Making up the ground floor is a cloakroom/shower room.Moving upstairs and you will find 3 double sized bedrooms accessed from an airy landing and wide staircase with handrail. The master bedroom is a double bedroom with 4 poster bed and an en-suite shower room. Access from patio doors with wooden shutters is gained to a long balcony with seating to admire the wonderful sea views and sunsets and listen to the waves as they roll in gently to the coastline. The second bedroom is a double bedroom and also has an adjacent shower room with half-sized bath. The third bedroom is also a double bedroom and as with the second bedroom hosts a quite unique but useful balcony/ledge above the bed which hosts a single mattress suitable for children. Steps lead up to the area and we would of course recommend caution but the ledge is fenced making it safe enough as deemed by the adult in charge.

All 3 bedrooms have air-conditioning, fitted wardrobes and shutters to doors and windows. The beds are of good quality ensuring a good nights sleep perhaps drifting off to the sound of the waves.Wi-Fi connection is included in the rental price. A travel cot and highchair can be supplied free of charge on request. Other extras such as hairdryer, pool towels, books and games are also provided.

Smartly positioned lighting ensures the outside areas can be enjoyed as much in the warm summer evenings as well as in the day time. The ambience in the evening really has to be experienced.

'' The house and garden were very beautiful! Our little son loved the house immediately. The location was quiet and pieceful, just as we like it! The beaches close to the house (in direction to the harbor) are beautiful and most time there is no other person there. The agents service was great! The owners were so kind and friendly! Again many thanks for the welcome package and the many different local products and tastes we received from them!!! Everything was perfect!!.''.

'' Very nice and original villa. Calm and nice place for those who want to be off the crowd. A lot of walking opportunities. The restaurant in the port is excellent. Nearby Pachyamos is picturesque with a nice beach walk. Absolutely satisfied with all service received.''.

'' The villa was absolutely perfect. Clean and the Pool was cleaned on numerous occasions. Fully equipped and missed nothing but a microwave which was not a problem. The owner was great having left milk, bread and huge bowl of fruit and salad. Home made orange squash was delicious as was the home made jam and came to greet us with a nice bowl of grapes and then home made bread. We travelled to Polis to an excellent restaurant Moustakallis where upon our second visit we were greeted by the Manager Andrewas Moustakallils like old friends and every single customer was important and it showed - the owner, if he did not see you arrive he would attend your table for a couple of minutes. Highly recommend. Lovely food and all staff great but either arrive early or book. Tuesday evening was the Greek Dancing night and very enjoyable. All communication was great from yourselves. Questions answered almost immeldiately and was not left wondering about anything. We would not hesitate to book again with you as all was extremely stress free. All in all I would give you and the Villa 10/10. Many thanks''.

We have rented many villas in various places and would rate Villa Petrochtisto as one of the best. The villa was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The pool was good and the welcome pack with fresh fruit and all the basic necessities was much appreciated. We do recommend the nearby Kanalli Fish Restaurant, also snorkelling at Pomos Point, although reef shoes are a good idea because of the stony beach. We thoroughly recommend this villa.

Location description from owner

The Paphos District

Paphos itself (60km) consists of two towns, each with its very own character. Ktima on the cliff (Upper Paphos) and Kato Paphos by the sea (Lower Paphos). One is virtually unchanged over the centuries and thoroughly Cypriot, while the other has expanded over the last decade from a sleepy fishing village and harbour, into a vibrant cosmopolitan resort which is expanding and improving each year.

In Kato Paphos, (in the archaeological park), you will find many fine mosaics and buildings from Greek and Roman periods, plus the Harbour Castle. Close by, is the church of St Pauls Pillar, where the pillar St Paul was tied to can be found. Further down this road are the Tombs of the Kings and Christian Catacombs. Heading East, you can find th
