You have the whole building at your disposal. We are not present during your stay, only when you check-in and check-out. You can always call us when you need information. We live close by. The bedrooms are all comfortable boxsprings. As it is a historical building, all bedrooms are different. On the ground floor: Backpackers room: capacity is 5 sleeping places (2 bunkbeds + 1 single bed. Private bathroom wit 2 lavabos, toilet and bath/shower). On the first floor : 3 rooms with each 2 bedrooms : capacity is 12 sleeping places and 4 bathrooms 1 familyroom (1 double, 1 triple, 1 single) with bathroom, toilet, lavabo and shower/bath on the second floor: Skindles loft with 6 sleeping places and bathroom, toilet, bath/shower and lavabo

it was a marvellous house with a nice diningroom , cosy livingroom and lovely bedrooms. The owners were very charming persons. All was perfect especially the welcome.

Great place to stay for a WW1 battlefield tour

Skindles is a great place to stay for a WW1 battlefield tour, not least as it was an officers club in WW1. The facilities are good, the rooms comfortable and the owners very helpful.

Why can't I call Chantal (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Chantal (the owner) a message.

If Chantal (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
