The company owns a small Marina "Douro Fluvina" at Ferradosa - Sao Joao da Pesqueira.

The boat is a 26ft Yachts ideal for a couple or a family with children.

There are 2 berths in a OPEN SPACE compartment. NO CABINS

ATTENTION: Not suitable for people with limited mobility.

You can rent a Motor Yacht with our chalets that are a few meters way from the private pontoons.

The chalets are very near the boats, and supply added comfort for your stay on the boats with larger toilets and kitchen.

The Douro water way starts on the Atlantic coast at Porto and comprises five connected lakes that extend for 200 km to the border with Spain.

You can explore it with our boats and stop where ever you like, take tours by train along the valley, walk in the vineyards, visit farms and small towns or simply swim in the warm clear waters of the river.

Along the river there are plenty of free public piers with charming small restaurants, hotels and shops nearby.

Inland waters are perfect for a first charter experience.

The scenery is breath-taking, spectacular really - no wonder it's a World Heritage site!

Our Marina is a lovely little spot on the river, perfect for people that appreciate nature and outdoor activities.

Nearby there are charming little family-run restaurants where you can have superb meals at very reasonable prices.

At the marina our guests also can find: small sail boats, kayaks, bicycles, barbecue, even a swimming pool.

What sailing qualifications would I need to charter a 26ft sailing yacht?

- Minimum: RYA Sailing Level 2 or RYA Power Boat Level 2 or RYA Inland Water Certification or RYA Day Skipper or ICC CNEVI or any international equivalent.

How many boats do you have?

- We have four boats two 28” Sail Boats and two 26” Motorboats.

Must we charter one week or is it possible 3 or 4 days?

- All dates are flexible just choose your dates and check availability.

Starting day is Saturday only?

- No starting day is flexible.

Do you provide bedding, pillows. sheets and blankets?

- Yes we provide sleeping bags, bedding, pillows. sheets and blankets

Do you provide kitchen utensils, kettle, frying pan, saucepan?

- Yes we provide all basic kitchen utensils dishes, knives, forks, kettle, frying pan, saucepan…

Do you provide towels

- Yes we provide a set of towels for shower and another set of towels to swim on the river (beach towels)

Is there a hot shower aboard?

- Yes there is a portable solar hot shower aboard (big black bag with water that stays in the sun…)

Is there a fridge aboard?

- There is a portable ice chest aboard to avoid the risk of depleting boat batteries we use frozen bottles (every night you can ask in the restaurants for more frozen bottles) when ice melts you have plenty of drinking water.

Can you tell us what sort of things we have to bring?

Do not forget large hat, sun shades, sun UV protector, swim suits, light shoes for boating, shoes for hill walking, euros cash (very few ATM near the water in the 2 upper lakes).

Is there a WC on board?

- Yes there is a closed WC inside the boat.

Do I need a lot of experience to sail the Douro Water Way?

- These are inland waters, the water way is composed by 5 connected lakes, locks are controlled by professionals, it is quite easy sailing so it is perfect for a first charter experience.

Would it be possible to sail single handed?

- Yes our boats are very easy to handle and are equipped for single handling.

What would we need to bring with us on the boat?

- The boat is equipped with kitchen (stove, pots, dishes…), ice box, sleeping bags, towels for 4 persons.

Is it possible to get to your base by train if we fly in to Porto?

- Yes from the airport you have the underground to Porto main railways station and from there a direct train our base.

Can you store a car and small caravan whilst we are on the boat?

- Yes we have a closed parking and a garage at our base (guarded 24h).

Is there any marinas we can stop at that also have facilities such as showers?

-There are plenty of free public piers and 4 Marinas (near the public piers you can find small hotels and restaurants all for a nice price)

How are the hotel prices?

- In small hotels one night for 2 persons costs around 45 €. (the hotels near the water in the upper lakes are small but very comfortable)

What are the prices on restaurants?

- A good generous meal in family run restaurants costs about 10 € per person.

It's homemade food so the quality is very good, these meals are one of the BEST memories you will get from Portugal.

Are there any convenience stores nearby where we can buy food?

- Yes in some places you can find stores near the water (in our base we can drive you to a large supermarket)

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jose (the owner) a message.

If Jose (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
