Ocean Blues was the first built property constructed within Batts Rock in the 1830's known as the square house, the king size bed is actually sculptured out of the coral rock face. The Ocean Blues property also incorporates 2 self-contained studios which form part of the whole House, making it a 4 bed property sleeping 8 persons.

It is located at St James on the fashionable West Coast set in dazzling bougainvillea and hibiscus flanked by palm and casuarians. Ocean Blues is a wonderful privately owned property ideal for outdoor living and ocean worshipers. Whilst allowing secure privacy and peace of mind it is conveniently located along the main highway, approximately 3 miles north of the capital Bridgetown and out of sight of main hotels but only a short walk or a bus hop to superb restaurants including Cin Cin, The Cliff and Sandy Lane, about 6 kilometres to Holetown and 30 minutes from the airport by taxi. Water sports are readily available and can be hailed from the property. At night flood lights can illuminate the garden terraces and pool. There is also a roof garden with loungers. You can see the magnificent sunsets reflected in the wonderful Caribbean sea. The terraces outside the two bedrooms have fixed canopies and offer privacy for sunbathing. The large deck over the ocean also provides for the sun worshipers who are sheltered by a massive sun umbrella.

Ocean Blues in the beautiful friendly island of Barbados belongs to John Garrod. It is a fascinating sea house on several levels and is maintained to a high degree. The Ocean Blues cove is accessed through a locked medieval turret, housing a spiral stone staircase with shower facility. There is tidal sand and most days the ocean is calm and safe to swim. Lots of guests swim across the bay to Batts Beach.

The Batts Rock bay is frequented daily by catamarans anchored there and the fishermen frequent the shoreline. From the various balconies the guests will have the opportunity to spot turtles, sting rays and other sea life.

There are no vendors and the sandy beaches are quiet.

The property is unsuitable for toddlers.

Ocean Blues is beautifully appointed, open-plan with a well equipped fitted kitchen, spacious lounge, airy dining room seating 4 persons and a large covered, furnished terrace.

This 2 bedroom house sleeps 4 people (1 king size bed with en suite facility and one queen size bed with shower/wc facility) .

There is a separate TV room, telephone and fax.

Relax with a drink on the roof garden among the palm trees and bougainvillea and experience spectacular views and sunsets. A romantic infinity edge salt water plunge pool allows guests to cool off after sun bathing on the ocean sun deck.

Daily house keeper/maid service is included Monday - Friday and although catering does not form part of the package, arrangements can be made for guests occupying the full property.

All guests are greeted by the house keeper Lynn with a large rum punch - a conducted tour pointing out features for your enjoyment and safety . Guests are encouraged to read the rules and security requirements . Your safety is our prime concern . How do damage deposits work?

If John (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
