“Fantastic villa”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2018

Fantastic villa! This was our first holiday to Lanzarote, and we would have no hesitation in coming back again, as long as we could stay at Villa Lara. We were very impressed with the quiet location, and that we could drive down to the marina in a couple of minutes to go to the supermarket, or the good selection of restaurants it had to offer. You can walk, but the uphill climb on the way back is not ideal for young children! We had everything we could possibly need at the villa, and it was all very clean and tidy. The only thing we didn’t get was a welcome pack of water, milk, etc, but there was a bottle of red wine and two glasses left for us which was a nice touch. The kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you for a lovely stay at your beautiful villa. We will be recommending it to friends and family, and hope to come back again.

“Great Lanzarote stay!”

Excellent villa. Well equipped. Amazing to have a hot tub to use esp in February. Walking distance to a lovely marina with a good selection of cafes and restaurants.

“Perfect holiday!”

6 of us travelled to Villa Lara for a 30th birthday. We used last minute travel to easily book transfers online. We paid 60 Euros for a return private transfer. Would reccomend them, nice bus and on time. The villa is beautiful, the pool and jacuzzi clean and wonderful, there is a BBQ and plenty of sunbeds, outside seating and a dining table. The inside is lovely, clean and modern with plenty of towels and bedding provided. The villa is a 5 minute walk from the Port where there is a little supermarket, numerous bars and restaurants. I would highly reccomend the mexican restaurant Las Margaritas. Made to feel very welcome and the food was amazing, we ate there twice and were given free drinks the second time. They have saddles as bar stools!. Buda is a briliant cocktail bar, not bad prices, lovely staff and great atmosphere. We drank in here every day!. The irish bar and the british bar both do a good full English but make sure you arent in a rush as the service is a little slow. We were paying on average 150 euros for 2 courses with drinks for 6 of us, so its not as expensive as I thought it would be. There seemed to be a market twice a week with the usual things for sale. Here we met a man called Pete who arranged a go karting trip for us at San Bartolome. AMAZING and highly reccomended. They pick you up from your accomodation and bring you back. There is a costal walk to Puerto del Carmen that I would highly reccomend. Its not an easy walk, has steps and hills but the views are amazing. It takes about an hour and we did it most days! If you want to do a full shop you will need to go to del Carmen. A taxi was about 5 euro. We ate out most nights but did have a nice BBQ. We didnt have a car and didnt need one. We were kept happy with what was in Calero and only ventured to del Carmen out of curiosity. We were a group of males and females aged 22 - 30. I would and will go back to Villa Lara and would highly reccomend it.
