VRBO selected the ranch (one of 5 locations out of 3500 short term rentals in Scottsdale) to film a Youtube video and we've been featured in several Hulu and film making projects. Our property is unique in it's size (62 acres) and location - right on the Tonto National Forest. We're secluded and surrounded by the most amazing Sonoran Desert scenery and offer a relaxing alternative to the fast pace of city life. Come out and hike, bike or ride a horse (yours are welcome, rentals available down the road) or just relax and watch the spectacular sunsets on the ridge overlooking the mountains and desert vistas. The bunkhouse is 800 sq feet, fully furnished, and offers a combination of eclectic Western furnishings and upscale interior design. A full kitchen with stove, microwave/convection oven, frig, big screen TV, dinette, laundry facilities and AC will insure a comfortable stay. Enjoy a glass of wine in the private courtyard as the sun goes down, or sip your morning coffee in the barn as the horses wait for their breakfast. Rio Rancho Verde gives guests a relaxing alternative to the fast paced city life, yet is close enough to Scottsdale, Carefree and Cavecreek to enjoy gourmet dining, first class shopping and a multitude of events and activities. We also board horses and have a separate area for those who wish to rent stalls and experience riding in the foothills and mountains of Arizona. This equine Ecoranch is committed to supporting a sustainable environment through the use of reduce, reuse, recycle and repurpose practices. From the organic garden (help yourself to our veggies) to the recycled metal artwork scattered throughout the Ranch, to the rainwater recapture and solar lighting, we're all about being green and respecting the natural desert landscape in which we live.

    This peaceful ranch is surrounded by cactus, rolling landscapes and beautiful mountain views. Enjoy riding and hiking among this spectacular scenery. Carmela and Joe were wonderful!

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Carmela (the owner) a message.

    If Carmela (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
