Our fantastic holiday accommodation is attached to our home yet completely private and separate giving you the best of both worlds. We're on hand for advice and assistance about getting the best from your stay in The Outer Hebrides and we'll even bake a fresh loaf for you and look after your dog if you want to charter a boat to the outlying islands. However, we can also leave you completely alone for privacy and a totally uninterrupted holiday. The cottage overlooks the pre-reformation church of St Clements in Rodel, formerly the ferry port to Harris from Skye. The sea the cottage overlooks is the same stretch where Flora McDonald rowed Bonnie Prince Charlie 'over the sea to Skye'. We're situated at the south end of Harris just minutes from Leverburgh ferry terminal with regular crossings to Berneray and North Uist and about half an hour away from the ferry terminal in Tarbert. South Harris boasts some of the best beaches in the world, truly beautiful turquoise seas and white shell sands, breathtaking views and a memorable coastline dotted with islands. You can spot dolphins, porpoises, seals and even basking sharks and whales and watch gannets diving and puffins skimming the waves. There is rarely a day when eagles don't come soaring across the valley.

Harris Golf Club is one of the most beautiful links in the country. Try fly fishing for brown trout in the local loch - we can arrange for permits and even a loan of equipment if you let us know. The Outer Hebrides is one of the UK's best kept secrets for a holiday destination. The holiday starts with getting here! Take the ferry and watch dolphins and porpoises riding the bow wave or fly in to Barra - the only scheduled flight with a beach landing! See standing stones and stone circles bigger and older than Stonehenge. Our price remains the same throughout the season so whether you're coming for the Heb Celt Festival, the school holidays or beautiful June and the longest day of the year there is no extra cost.

Why can't I call Annie (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Annie (the owner) a message.

If Annie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
