Bella Mare is a truly private retreat, protected and surrounded by strong and elegant walls that are evocative of the ancient walls surrounding the city of Heraklion, left by the medieval Venetians. Within the walls and surrounding the house are glorious garden paths that call to mind ancient gardens from antiquity.
A short walk down the driveway leads guests to some of the best tavernas on the island. After a meal fit for the gods, guests can return to the villa for a swim in the luxurious pool and swim the fine line that blurs their view with the panoramic vista of the Mediterranean Sea.

Bella Mare is uniquely designed to sleep ten people comfortably in its spacious five bedrooms. Located on the top floor is the master suite, furnished with a comfortable king-sized bed and elegant bedroom furniture. Watch the light dance across the oceans as the sun sets from the comfort of your private balcony, a perfect place for a romantic evening. All of the bedrooms have unique features and decor that leave all of our guests with a unique and memorable experience, no matter which bedroom they stay in. there are two full bathrooms outfitted with the finest accommodations, the first on the lower floor and a second in the master suite, along with a half bathroom near the living room area.
With an interior and exterior decorated with gorgeous marble, the villa is designed to be the epitome of elegance. The fireplace in the living area is made from a rare river stone from India that resembles polished wood. The kitchen is equipped for the best of chefs, though wonderful restaurants are only a few steps outside the villa gate when even our most proficient cook decides they would like a break from cooking.
Just outside Villa Bella Mare’s front door is a gorgeous outdoor barbecue area where a “Monk’s” table with seating for twelve resides. There is a barbecue grill situated next to a brick pizza oven nestled at the base of a surrounding hill, giving guests fantastic opportunities for private dinner parties with family and friends. The poolside area is ideal for such private parties and can accommodate as many as 150 people.
