El Olivar is a luxurious, spacious and extremely comfortable, four bedroom finca set within its own olive grove and surrounded by rolling farmland with panoramic views to the Serranía de Ronda and Grazalema National Park. Decorated in a soothing palette of white and muted colours, with whitewashed beams and terracotta floors throughout, the finca is beautifully and luxuriously furnished, in a rustic contemporary style with design classics, vintage pieces and original artwork. The house is exceptionally comfortable and well appointed with a well equipped kitchen, hotel quality mattresses and linens, thick, fluffy towels and glorious bathrooms. El Olivar is in an idyllic rural location yet is only a few miles from Ronda with an authentic bar restaurant under five minutes away and a superb hotel restaurant within walking distance.

Ideally located, in the highly sought after, unspoilt, los Frontones area, the finca is rural, tranquil and completely private, yet has easy access to the beautiful medieval city of Ronda, one of the finest pueblos blancos, and the many charms of Andalucia; Ronda is less than ten minutes by car or a twenty minute bike ride and the lively village of Arriate is only five minutes away.

The atmosphere is extremely calming and everything is on hand for a fabulously relaxing holiday. Superbly suited to family get-togethers or romantic getaways, with its thick walls, shady terraces and air conditioning, the house stays cool even in the height of summer. A wood burner and central heating keep the house cosy through the short Andalucian winters.

Mature vines provide much needed shade over the south facing terrace which stretches the full width of the house and overlooks the garden with its inviting, private pool and stunning, 360 degree views. Take a leisurely breakfast on the east facing terrace looking towards the olive grove and lush valley or sip a glass of wine from one of the many local vineyards and watch the sun set over the mountains to the west. A paella burner, barbecue and well-stocked herb garden add to the appeal of al fresco dining. The house sits in a nature lover’s, bird watcher’s and walker’s paradise with walks right from the door and the stunning vistas offer incredible inspiration to those with an artistic or photographic inclination. The gastronomic specialities and creative cuisine of the local area wait to be discovered, this is a foodie’s dream.

Ideal for a family holiday or well earned short break, spacious enough for nine yet romantic and intimate. The bedrooms can be arranged to suit your requirements but consist of a master bedroom with four poster super kingsize bed with ensuite bathroom (freestanding stone resin bath with hand shower), an emperor sized bed and day bed which can also be arranged as triple room (twin room with full sized, comfortable daybed) and two, more compact double rooms. The family bathroom has double sinks and walk in shower. There is also a WC downstairs.

Families are well catered for, from toddlers to teenagers, with thoughtful little touches; toys, books, games, the fabulous pool in the large, enclosed garden, table tennis, croquet, mountain bikes, wi-fi, games consoles, artist’s materials and a comprehensive guide to the sights and delights of the local area mean no one will be getting bored. Activities and experiences such as yoga, pilates, horseriding and wine tasting can easily be arranged or simply relax in the complete peace and serenity of the garden where sunny days are lingering and plentiful and stars crowd the night sky.

Why can't I call Lucy (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lucy (the owner) a message.

If Lucy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
