From the owner

Hibiscus Haven is a lovely spacious family apartment with pleasant balcony for outside eating and lovely views of the city and ocean as well as the mountains. Downstairs there is a poolside room occupied by a permanent tenant who also shares the pool which is situated in a large deck suitable for sunbathing

This private apartment is located in a safe residential area. There are guard dogs next door which act as a burglar alarm .

Enjoy an amazing view over the city of Roseau and the Cruise ship berth one way and the mountains and forests the other. You’ll love our place because of the location . You need a rental vehicle to get around as walking the mile to town is stressful in the heat and hopelessly up hill on the way back. Roseau city centre is accessible where there are restaurants, night life and a bustling fresh produce market. Best to park overlooking the stadium . The kfc delivery places know the address . You can park your rental vehicle on the street safely or order a tour bus or taxi to pick you up.

Guest access

The pool is shared with the man downstairs who is not at home during the day. He also provides pool cleaning services but will not intrude.

Interaction with guests

We live en route to Town for advice and coffee on the way! I am also the British Honorary Consul and am a frequently used resource for tourists in trouble. we have a list of trusted tour guide , Boiling lake experts and opportunities for interaction with locals.

The neighborhood

St Aroment is a quiet established residential area with beautiful views of the Bay and Mountains. Walking distance to town if you are fit! , we do however recommend you get a Goodwill bus back up the hill and pay extra for door to door.

Getting around

The Black cabs are familiar with our place and will provide a very reasonable taxi service . We can also provide connections to certified tour guides with buses fluent in French, English and Patois.

Other things to note

Please let us know how you are expecting to arrive. We can arrange for you to be met by a taxi bus at the ferry terminal (USD10 per person) or at the Airport (USD80 per vehicle) . We can arrange for the car rental company ( Roadrunnercarrental , Courtesy or Valley) to bring the vehicle to the house. We strongly recommend you book the car rental in advance and refer them to us to coordinate especially at Carnival, Creole and Christmas. Driving in the dark when you first arrive especially on the treacherous airport road is not recommended especially if you are not used to driving right hand drive on the left!

No one met us to give us the key or tell us anything about the unit. It was like a jail cell. A bed, toilet, shower and sink. No place to put clothes (dresser or bureau), and no chair to sit in. The t… More

It is true that this gentleman and his young lady had a trying time. We are sorry they blocked their toilet as Getting a plumber over the weekend is difficult. The apartment is not suitable for anyone with a disability and suits those who plan to go out and about and use it as a base . Since the hurricane we have been able to improve the WiFi and hot water and most guests seem delighted with the pool and the view. We have drawers in addition to the large walk in cupboard so clothes storage is not a problem now .
