From the owner

Our house is located in the south-east of Sicily, in the countryside, near Rosolini, between the provinces of Siracusa and Ragusa. And 'strategic point to visit the city UNESCO heritage of great artistic, architectural and natural. We are located 18 km from Modica, famous for its baroque churches and the typical chocolate; 35 km from Ragusa and Scicli rich in historical monuments, taken up several times in the popular television series "Il Commissario Montalbano". A few minutes you will be in the charming town of Noto, capital of Baroque; 40 'minutes you will be at Syracuse, Dionysius and the ancient city of Archimedes, the greek theater, headquarters every two years of classical performances and the island of Ortigia, the oldest part of the city. A few minutes you reach the Ionian Sea (Marzamemi, Eloro and Vendicari) or the Mediterranean Sea with beautiful beaches and golden sand dunes. The block has been constructed in accordance with the type of a typical rural Sicilian stone house surrounded by dry walls and secular olive trees and carob. The natural garden and the fruits of our garden will delight our guests' stay. The structure is sustainable: thermoventilated roofs and insulated with cork, photovoltaic electricity, solar panels and biomass boiler for heating and hot water. The apartment we offer, part of the building where we live, is the attic with two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with a bed for 1 square and 1/2, a bathroom and a reading room. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating, accompanied by bed linen and towels included. Guests have access to all the outdoor spaces of the building, the kitchen in country style, shared with the owners. The verandas with tables and chairs, barbecue and garden, freely available, are ideal to enjoy meals or spend happy to relax outdoors. The car parking is free as well as free wi-fi.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Miriam (the owner) a message.

    If Miriam (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
