Your five bedroom Ocean front villa, comes fully staffed with Butler, Chef, Housekeeper, Assistant and a Gardener. The large covered verandah opens on to our Beach Entry swimming pool with an Infinity Edge. It is surrounded in a tropical garden and conveniently located between the resort towns of Ocho Rios and Runaway Bay on Jamaica's North Coast. This beautiful home is tucked away at Chukka Cove Farm, 'Brown Shuggah' provides unique access to a truly Jamaican experience. This dream home was built with love and attention to details and finishes. Designed with three indoor courtyards to bring Nature in, it is a very open, yet warm and inviting home. Over 7,000 Sq Ft, the design blends farm house, great house, and Caribbean villa all in one. It is nestled on a farm and hidden amidst pastures, fruit trees, and lush foliage on the edge of dramatic ocean front cliffs in a rural setting.

Complete opposite to the large all-inclusive resorts, it sits in a large lawn area shared with 6 other privately owned villas. Here in the country, you may wake up to the sound of roosters, can listen to the crickets and frogs songs at night or go for a morning and evening walk around the polo field and watch the horses returning home or going to pasture. The family dog Lola also lives on property but will respect your space.

So immerse yourself in the real Jamaica and soak your cares away in the turquoise waters of the cove or in your own private pool. A safe place to vacation without being with hundreds of other guests.

Your private paradise has a master and ensuite, sitting room, bathroom and outdoor shower. The master suite includes a living/sitting area with comfy couches and coffee table, and doors that open out to an incredible ocean view, the perfect place to wake up or unwind after the day. The second and third bedrooms both have ensuite bathrooms.

This home boasts two more living rooms, one inside between two open courtyards (orchid-west and tropical –east), large glass folding doors open onto an expansive furnished covered verandah. A powder room, laundry, dining room and covered garage. TV room and adjoining recreational (exercise-elliptical and free weights / kiddies play room). The kitchen opens right into breakfast nook and both enjoy views of the front gardens and the indoor orchid courtyard.

The cliffs at Chukka Cove are dramatic and extensive, great for exploring or simply listening to the sound of the waves crashing ashore. On calm days, a ladder takes you into the cool clear waters.

On the adjoining villa property is a small sandy cove, safe and perfect for young children to swim and play. On days when the sea swells are up and you seek calmer waters, a two minute walk along the edge of the polo field takes you to the spectacular Chukka Bay, a sheltered bay where the waters are always calm and cliff jumping, swimming and snorkeling are the order of the day.

• Friendly and attentive staff, keeps the villa spotless and Chef Marlon your cook will prepare authentic Jamaican dishes. They can either accompany you to the grocery, selecting the best items at local markets or prepare the food you purchase. Also a near grocery store will deliver your groceries and take major Credit card over the phone.

• Netflix - where we are located, there is NO cable TV, but we have WiFi

• Airport transfers can be arranged with professional and friendly experienced drivers, as well as trips into town for shopping, or you can rent a car online or at the airport. On site at the farm are gift shops, snack bar and bar.

• A 25% discount on all Chukka Tours. The largest adventure tour operator in Jamaica, award winning Chukka offers multiple locations and tours for your enjoyment. Brown Shuggah is located at the original tour location Chukka Polo farm you will see over 100 horses head to the stables each morning for the famous horseback ride n swim tour.

Tours depart just a short walk from the house.

How do damage deposits work?

If Anna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
