Tiroroa (meaning “Extensive View”) is the Bay of Islands holiday home that you have been dreaming of, finished to a very high standard and offering fantastic views of the Bay and surrounding native bush. The breathtaking view and surroundings never cease to amaze as you gaze upon the islands of Urupukapuka, Motarua and Poroporo seemingly floating on the horizon. This stunning landscape makes it one of the absolute must see destinations in New Zealand and is visited by people from all over the globe. Keen sailors will appreciate that Dicks Bay and nearby Jacks Bay are popular and peaceful anchorages on the eastern side of the Bay of Islands. With a sub-tropical climate, visitors to this region enjoy beach and water activities, go exploring the many nature walks, swim with dolphins, sail, surf or just explore the 144 different islands in the bay. The historic township of Russell is the first capital of New Zealand and retains its European charm, drawing residents from all over the world forming a vibrant and friendly community with pop up weekend markets. There is a wide range of dining options from cafés to award winning restaurants showcasing the best of NZ cuisine and produce.

The heart of this recently built home is the huge designer kitchen with high quality appliances and stonework surfaces. Just behind a feature wall the separate lounge area has an open fireplace for the ambience rather than necessity given the eco-efficiency of the build. With a large master suite at one end and two generous double bedrooms at the far end, privacy is guaranteed with all rooms enjoying access to the large covered deck, which has outdoor seating, dining and a BBQ to enjoy the long Northland evenings. The house is well equipped with all the homewares for a perfect self catering holiday, creating memories of a fabulous romantic getaway or a delightful family holiday.

Additionally a cosy single room can fit a mattress or camp stretcher no linen provided.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Tiroroa (the owner) a message.

If Tiroroa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
