Gothic Cottage offers flexible accommodation and is extremely well appointed for the old and young alike. Its spacious rooms over the highest level of comfort, whilst a host of extra features make it a fun place to stay. The games room has a pool table, darts, a bar and a quirky original 1970s jukebox along with a motorised glitter ball. The cinema and gaming room offers large screen (65”) viewing (with Sky Q, Netflix, Amazon Prime, BluRay etc), surround sound and a games console with a range of games. There is an extensive collection of baby toys and children’s games, as well as board games. Outside, the garden features a wooden shire pod/den (heated) with entertainment (TV, BluRay and Amazon Fire) – a great hangout for children – and a fabulous cedar barrel hot tub which seats 8 people.

The private contemporary-styled garden has multiple sitting out and dining areas. It has two BBQs (gas and charcoal), a wood-fired pizza oven and a charcoal smoker – perfect for outdoor entertaining. After dark, make use of the beautiful lighting and retreat to the raised seating area with its enormous sofa where you can sit toasting marshmallows over the firepit.

Accommodation over two floors:

Ground Floor:Spacious living room with 2 sofas and 2 chairs leading through to an open-plan snug with a further 2 sofas. There is a log burner and television (Sky, Netflix, Amazon Prime, BluRay player etc) in the living room.

Bright and airy large dining room with a contemporary roof lantern and French doors leading onto the rear garden. The dining table seats 10-12 comfortably. Large and spacious contemporary shaker-style kitchen with limestone flooring and door leading onto rear garden. Smeg range with 7 burner gas hob, 2 electric ovens and separate grill. Nespresso coffee maker. Microwave/oven/grill combined. 2 dishwashers and large fridge. Table with bench and chairs seats 7-8.

Games room with full sized pool table, vintage jukebox in full working order, dart boards, mirrored bar with bar stools, motorised glitter ball, seating, children’s toys. There is a log burner and television (Sky, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc).

Cinema and multi-media gaming room with state of the art 65” TV (Sky, Netflix, Amazon Prime, DVD player etc), surround sound system, games console (with a selection of games), board games and children’s toys. A 3-metre wide sofa with ottoman provides lots of seating.

Downstairs WC.

Utility room with additional fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

First Floor: The first floor is accessed by two sets of stairs, creating flexible accommodation that can be subdivided for privacy if two families are holidaying together.

Master bedroom suite with king-size bed and integral en-suite featuring large shower enclosure with rainhead and hand-held shower, WC, basin unit with granite top, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. Second bedroom with vintage Victorian canopy four poster bed (wider than a standard kingsize) and an original Victorian fireplace (non-working).

Two further twin bedrooms each with two single beds and feature fireplace (non-working). Double bedroom with king-size bed and feature fireplace (non-working). Family bathroom with Jack-and-Jill dual access for ease of use from all rooms. Free-standing roll-top bath with claw feet, separate large shower enclosure with rainhead and hand-held shower, WC, basin unit with marble top and heated towel rail.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
