Buttercup Cottage is all on one level, so suitable for anyone who struggles with stairs. Originally a dairy, beautifully converted and finished. Open plan living with clearly designated areas. Comfy lounge area with freeview TV, dining area with table & chairs, kitchen with microwave, oven & gas hob. King size bed with an additional TV, the large bathroom is next to the bedroom area. Large courtyard garden with seating. Parking for one car in front of the cottage. Only a 10-15 minute walk into Rye centre. A welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a large packet of crisps.

Buttercup Cottage is located along a private road, with a quiet, sunny southerly aspect. Private access to the 1066 trail for the walkers amongst you. The cottage is all on one level, so only two steps to climb to the front door. Daisy Cottage is the adjoining holiday cottage and can be booked if more than two in your party. When both are booked at the same time by the same guests we apply a 10% discount.

Peaceful, romantic retreats with all the modern comforts.

Great location for exploring the local trails by bike or foot. Lots of fabulous gardens and National Trust Houses & Castles close by, Great Dixter, Sissinghurst etc

Why can't I call Jacqui (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Jacqui (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
