Gîtes les Chaffauds is situated in the pretty hamlet of Les Chaffauds, only a 3 minute drive to Sainte Cécile which has a bakery, bar and other amenities. Chantonnay is less than 10 minutes away, and here you will find many restaurants, supermarkets and other attractions.
The two holiday cottages are rented as one property for up to 10 guests - so are ideal for a large family or friends who want to spend their holiday together, but have a bit more space.

Outside, there is a large courtyard garden with an al fresco dining area and barbecue. Beyond the courtyard is the large garden, with heated pool and children's play area. The above-ground pool is 4.5m in diameter and is surrounded by sun loungers. The garden is laid to lawns and has several seating areas where you can watch the sun go down whilst sipping a glass of the local wine!
Both houses share the courtyard garden, main garden and pool. The owners live on-site and are there to offer advice during your holiday.
This is the ideal location for country walks, cycling along peaceful lanes or relaxing by the side of one of the nearby lakes - perhaps even fishing. The owners are always on hand with tips for the best routes and fishing spots.
There are lots of tourist attractions in the area - with the Puy du Fou Theme Park within 40 minutes and La Rochelle within an hours drive.
The beaches of the Southern Vendee are also only an hour away - with miles of clean sandy beaches for surfing, sand castles and rock pooling.

There is a large parking area with space for up to 4 cars. There are steps up to the front door in Les Ammonites.
The rear of the cottages leads to a gravelled courtyard where you will find a barbecue and seating area. This area of garden is security fenced with a gate leading to the pool area.
The circular heated pool is 4.5 meters in diameter and has a grassed area around it with sun loungers and seating nearby. The garden extends to over 2 acres - so has plenty of space to kick a ball or run around. As the house is situated on the top of a hill, there are stunning views across the valleys below and the sunsets are fantastic!
