Peacefully surrounded by rolling green fields a mile from Salcombe, a large, detached house smartly converted from a barn in the tiny rural hamlet of Horsecombe, just a 20 minute stroll from the town via lanes/footpath alongside tranquil Batson Creek. Salcombe: one of the most beautifully sited small towns in Britain, at the mouth of the Kingsbridge estuary, a yacht haven with creeks, sandy bays. Waterside pubs, nice shops. Boats to hire, fishing, superb Nat. Trust cliff walks/gardens; museum, tennis, outdoor swimming pool (in summer); pedestrian ferry to East Portlemouth (lovely beaches, The Venus Café and Takeaway). Thurlestone and Bigbury (golf), 6 and 8 miles.
