If you're coming to San Antonio to check out the downtown area, there's no need to look any further. Why stay 30 minutes away when you can walk to the AlamoDome, Riverwalk, Hemisphere Park and more from this CUTE downtown property? For the same price (or less) as a hotel room, you can stay in this spacious 2-story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home which features a detached garage, updated appliances, elevated ceilings, flat screen TV’s, and a great view of downtown. We’re located one block from the AlamoDome, and ½ mile from the River Walk, Convention Center, River Center Mall, Hemisphere Park, and Alamo. Sunset Station is just a few blocks from this gem and features fun night life at various bars, as well as fine dining at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. In the evening, enjoy drinks (from your fully equipped kitchen) on the back patio and take in the stunning views of the Tower of the Americas and the Alamo Dome. If you have children who like to play in the yard, our home includes a large, fenced in backyard (with new sod (June 2012) and sprinkler system), which is very rare in downtown San Antonio. Enjoy the modern décor courtesy of world class decorator Kristén (my lovely wife). We own multiple properties, and this is definitely one of the coolest. Sleeping arrangements include a queen in the master, queen in bedroom 2, a full bed in bedroom 3, and a pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room. Master bedroom boasts en suite, and additional full bathroom accommodates guest rooms (1/2 bath downstairs). Since you’ll be staying downtown, you’ve very close to everything San Antonio has to offer: Sea World (15 min), Six Flag (15 min), The Quarry (8 min), Zoo (7 min), Botanical Gardens (7 min), AT&T Center (7 min), and of course all of the famous downtown activities: the Market, Alamo, River Walk, trolley tours, and more! Other home amenities include washer & dryer, single detached garage, free wireless internet, DVD player, 2 flat screen TV’s, stainless steel propane grill, stainless steel kitchen appliances, outdoor furniture, and much more! We had an excellent stay at this modern house. Beautiful back yard that you can see the Tower of America from. Everything we wanted was a 10 minute drive or less, except Sea World which was 20 minutes… More

Thank you so much for your review! We try to make it very clear in the listing that this home is located downtown, and because it's located downtown, you will hear trains passing through. Most large cities have train (and other public transportation) noise that you deal with downtown...part of the reason to stay downtown is be part of the hustle and bustle of city life. If you prefer quiet, country living, we also offer several homes on the outskirts of town as well. In terms of safety, we have rented our downtown homes for several years, and have never had one safety incident. The city has done a phenomenal job of cleaning up the east side of downtown, and our community is part of that effort. It is a really nice area! Now, with that said, we recognize that there are areas farther to the east of downtown that aren't the safest, but there should be no reason for you to go that way...as long as you stay between our home and downtown, it is perfectly safe. In fact, when we were preparing the homes to rent, both my wife and I worked late into the night working outside landscaping, etc...it's an extremely safe neighborhood.

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
