I have five pet-friendly homes in historic Beacon Hills and Woodlawn just north of downtown. All are very close to downtown. If you are interested in a longer - a month-or-more stay - at discount, contact me for a quote with the number of days.
Please note that short-term rentals in San Antonio are being forced to charge you a 16.75% tax as of January, 2019. This applies if you are renting for less than 30 days and if you are NOT on government travel. The estimate you will get when you plug in your travel dates will include this tax, but I can remove it manually if you quality.
The other places sleep 2, 4 and 6 and are also listed on Tripadvisor. If one is booked, try for the others. To find them, go to the bottom of this page to my photo, click it, scroll to "Listings" and you'll see three "Pet Friendly" listings. Click the photo to go to the other homes.
Here's what a recent visitor said about the location: "The location of the home was also fantastic for us because we split our time in San Antonio between Six Flags (13mi, 15-20min), Pearl District (3.5mi, 10-12min), The RIver Walk (3.5mi, 12min), and Southtown (5mi, 12-15min). We took Lyft every evening with quick service due to the central location of the home, & we never paid more than $10 (excluding tip)."
You'll find everything your four footed friend desires, including doggie door, fenced yard, treats, special doggie pillows, a nice spot by the front window to keep a lookout for mail delivery, UPS, other dogs, and - the scourge of the community! - cats!this house is in Beacon Hills just north of downtown. The other places sleep 4 and 6 adults and are also listed on tripadvisor. If this one is booked for the time you need it, try looking at the other two. To find all three places, log into www.tripadvisor.com, put "Jason's Pet Friendly" in the tripadvisor search box and put ("San Antonio, Texas") in the location box next to it. You will be able to scroll down past a few hotels and find my places. Their names all start with "Jason's Pet Friendly...." Each house has every amenity - I have been quizzing guests over the year about how to outfit the kitchen and bath so that you will have everything you need (washer/dryer, new A/C, comfortable mattresses, dog doors, fenced yard, proximity to nice walks, restaurants and shopping) plus more: wine, beer, water, emergency pizzas, dog biscuits, a growing dog library. For your protection, all the mattresses are fitted with anti-bedbug, anti-allergin mattress covers. All are decorated in a mix of antiques in some rooms (hallway, living room) and high-tech amenities (smart TVs with internet, Pandora and Netflix) in the sitting room and bedroom. The house is about 4 miles from downtown, and is on a bus route that takes you right into the city. Interstate 10, the major San Antonio artery, is 2 miles away, The airport is 4 miles away. The house has new A/C and heat. Our place is pet-friendly (no fees), and has a fully fenced and gated back yard. There is a doggie door in the kitchen, allowing dogs to come in and out of the fully-fenced back yard. We are close to five well-known restaurants, including two that specialize in ribs, one that serves the best hamburgers in San Antonio, a popular Mexican breakfast, lunch, and dinner cafe, and a pet-friendly coffee house which has gourmet dishes as well as good coffee. A food truck parks most nights down the block and serves up excellent Mexican dishes. Our neighborhood is known for the dozen or so antique shops within walking distance. I live close by, and can be at your door to help with any issues within minutes.
