Podere Collinella is ideally situated in a beautiful rural location with fabulous panoramic 360 degree views. The villa is a renovated 16th century converted farmhouse with a light & open feel. It has all 21st century amenities with well equipped bathrooms & kitchen and bespoke locally made furniture. The large shared pool (open 1 June - 30 September) is a 50 metres walk away and boasts stunning views over classic Tuscan landscape. There are 2 sun terraces attached to the property which are perfect for enjoying the peace & tranquillity over a glass of Chianti wine & delicious local food. The medieval hill towns of Volterra & San Gimignano are both 25 minutes by car and are perfect for sight seeing, shopping or dining out. The nearest village Il Castagno is only a 5 minute drive away and provides a local restaurant. Siena, Pisa, Florence and sandy Mediterranean beaches are all just 1 hour away by car. The farmhouse is surrounded by olive groves & woodland and accessed along its own private road. Bedroom 1 is a ground floor bedroom with a double bed & an adjoining shower room.The large window/door has an insect screen and room fan. Bedroom 2 is upstairs with a double bed and stunning views, and fitted air con .Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds with fitted air con and a cot bed is also available. All bedrooms are modern & comfortable.Bathrooms: There is a downstairs shower room with a sink, shower, toilet and bidet. Upstairs is a family bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower. Kitchen: The kitchen is light, modern and well equipped. There is a large fridge freezer, hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. All crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are provided. A high chair is available for infants.Utility Room: Washing machine, iron and ironing board are all provided in the upstairs bathroom.Living Rooms: The living room has an Italian leather sofa and chairs surrounding an open log fireplace (non functioning). There is also a flat screen TV/DVD and a selection of books to relax with after a hard day by the pool! The villa has WIFI but is supplied via satellite so encounters occasional but infrequent interruptions to service. Whilst we are unable to accept any liability arising from a loss of service we will take immediate steps to restore the service as soon as we are made aware of any interruption. Other: All rooms have been finished to the standard you would expect featuring traditional chestnut beamed ceilings and Italian terracotta tiled floors. All windows and doors are double glazed & gas central heating is provided (though rarely required).Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided together with 'an end of stay' cleaning service: The property is fully cleaned for all our guests before arrival. A welcome pack is provided for you on your arrival with local Tuscan produce and locally sourced wines. Amenities/Facilities: WIFI, Barbecue, Shared Pool, Parking, Garden. Dishwasher, Fridge, Fridge/Freezer, Hob/Stove, Iron, Oven, Washing Machine. Central Heating, Cot, High Chair, Room Fans, TV.Changeover day is Saturday though this is usually flexible in off peak times. Guests are requested to vacate the property by 10am on the day of departure. Arrival time is anytime after 3pm. The property is accessed along a 3km private gravelled driveway which opens out onto spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Car hire is essential. The property is one of 13 on this large former farm site and is attached to one other property. The property has an independent access path and entrances and a large private garden to front, side and rear. The covered patio facing west is away from the adjoining property, the east facing patio is partitioned from the one next door by a 2 metre high bamboo cane screen.

    The property is on a small condominium. No loud music or noise that could disturb other residents after 11.00pm. Pool rules must be adhered to - children under 14 must be supervised, no loud music around the pool, no glassware, all garbage must be removed. There is no facility to discard glass bottles on site - these must be taken to roadside recycling bins nearby. Gates to car park must be closed at all times to prevent entry by wild animals that can cause damage to gardens.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
