A holiday for the senses!

Diddy's Country is a single family owned mediterranean villa within 4 hectares of gardens, pine tree garden, palm trees and century old olive trees at the edge between Salento and Valle d'Itria, just minutes away from San Vito dei Normanni. It is just 15 minutes drive from the beautiful fine, golden sand or rocky beaches of the adriatic sea and 20 minutes from the renown attractions of Ostuni, Brindisi and Ceglie Messapica. The airports of Brindisi and Bari are approximately 25 minutes and 1 hour 10 away, respectively.

Piccinnu is very comfortable and extremely well equipped with an emphasis on quality and beauty. You will find lots of local craftsmanship (ceramic, fabrics, etc...) and lovingly chosen furniture and furnishings. Piccinnu comfortably accommodates a family of 5 (we had a family with twin babies and a small child), or simple a single couple enjoying the amazing sightseeing and food Puglia has to offer. Bear in mind the beautiful terrace is your living room, there is a two-seater in the master bedroom, but there is no separate living room (to bear in mind for the colder months).

Diddy's Country boasts a stunning in-ground salt-water infinity pool, with the stones sourced locally and the stones for the dry-wall coming from the pool dig.

The estate is peaceful and beautifully kept; the spring and summer months enjoy bright, sunny and warm weather, the air if filled with amazing smells of flowers and the silence of the countryside is interrupted by the lullabies of the chicadas. You are immersed in country side and can pick directly from the trees or from the soil a variety of home grown fruits and vegetables.

The autumn and winter months are cool and windy but still generally very mild compared to central and northern Europe. The dark red of the wet soil contrasts with the bright colours of the silver and green olive tree leafs or the yellow and red winer flowers. The silence is interrupted by the distant barking of local dogs and the air is filled with the beautiful smells of moist soil and nearby wood burning fireplaces. Long walks or cycling tours await you as the house is just next to a cycling route.

Diddy's Country is not just a wonderful place, it's a unique experience for all your senses, immersed in the countryside life and century old traditions.

Dear Guests, Diddy's Country is our secondary home, we live in the UK but Alessandro is from Brindisi and his mother is from San Vito d. Normanni. We use the house for our holidays and you might see us there during UK holidays. When we are not there, our lovely Pamela will welcome you or leave the keys for you in a secure place if you should arrive very early or very late. We suggest you rent a car, the house is 1 km away from the town of San Vito dei Normanni and there is so much to explore. Although we can leave bicycles out for you if you wish, we do not suggest you go about your daily routine by bicycle. The beaches are about a 15 minutes car ride away, and you can explore lovely towns such as Ostuni, Brindisi and Ceglie (20 mins) .

    Smoking is allowed outside without inconvenience to other guests, please put your cigarettes out in an ashtray. Please DO NOT smoke in the pine tree area because of fire risk.
    Please do not drive the go-karts on the solarium, health and safety and hygiene risk + the marks are hard to clean.
    Do not run on the solarium (slippery when wet) or jump into the pool (only 140cm deep). Pool use at your own risk.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alexandra (the owner) a message.

    If Alexandra (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
