This lovely Family home boasts NO modern finishes. Neat, clean & well maintained. Fantastic getaway for a family with babies or kids. Offering everything from an optional bedside cot to a family sized jumping castle, play equipment, toys and more. Sunny North facing patio with stunning mountain views in the front yard. With a rustic fire pit for campfire style BBQ/Braai in the back yard. Outdoor bathroom & Laundry room, with full second bathroom, has a gas geyser bath. The large secure front and back garden is a lovely space for any pets. 5-minute walk to shops or beach. 10-minute drive to restaurants, shops and stunning whale capital CBD, Hermanus! Newly built mall opening December 2017. There is something for everyone here from whale watching, shark cage diving, wine tasting, fine dining to quad biking, zip lining and cycle trails and not to mention all the fabulous beaches.

Getting around

The most common and convenient way to see the sights is a car rental from any of the leading companies such as Hertz Car Rental or Avis. Self-drive holidays are wonderful as they are at your own pace and on your own time. There are also local taxi services that will collect on a call. As well as Ubba, which also operates in the area. renting a bicycle is a lovely way to enjoy our spectacular sights

I am available to check guests in and explain anything and everything with regards to the house. If guests would like assistance booking any of the trips or tours, I would be happy to help. I can help with travel, transport or shuttles in and around Sandbaai, Hermanus or further. Can even assist with collection and transport from the airport upon arrival or departure.

House rules

Families that choose to entertain are most welcome to with the neighbours in mind, all noise levels should come back to low after 22h00 on Fridays and Saturdays and after 21h00 during the week.
The home is clean on arrival and will be cleaned by the owner on departure, however, any additional cleaning services can be arranged as required on request. There is a jumping castle as well as kids toys and play area, all are used at own risk.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Leigh (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
