There is a large patio with 8 seater rectangular table set overlooking a lawned garden which is the perfect spot for al fresco dining or a drink before sundown. Additional garden furniture, including two sun loungers and wooden benches, means the garden can be enjoyed from many angles. Relax with a good book after a day out exploring the coastline and countryside, or simply lay back and admire the magnificent stars that twinkle in the sky on a clear evening - there are not many places that boast such dark skies at nighttime.

Sandwich Bay is perfect for long walks, beachcombing, beach bbqs and even shrimping! The picturesque Tudor town of Sandwich is 2 miles away and has a rich cultural heritage as one of the Cinque Ports. It has lots to see and do including a retro vintage cinema, artisan deli, coffee and farmshops. There are many events including art and music festivals in the town centre throughout the year. Kent's calmer coastal and inland waters are ideal for kayaking and canoeing - aficionados paddle the three spectacular routes that set out from both Sandgate and Sandwich Bay, or make for St Margaret's to glide below Kent's remarkable White Cliffs. Just eighteen miles from Canterbury, this world UNESCO World Heritage Site has a truly cosmopolitan feel with visitors from all over the world who come to see St. Martins the oldest church in England, together with Canterbury Cathedral and St. Augustines Abbey. There is a huge choice of restaurants specialising in traditional and modern British dishes as well as many international restaurants. In addition to Royal St. Georges golf club there are two further golf clubs Royal Cinque Ports and Princes.
