From the owner

Our residence is set on a lake, forest, and wetland preserve. It features complimentary breakfast (organic options), a heated saltwater pool, outdoor jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor lounge areas, indoor and outdoor dining areas, indoor and outdoor yoga areas, a library, wifi, and spectacular sunsets.

The guest bedroom has a king-size bed, private bath, wifi, TV, Netflix, a mini fridge, USB charging station, a/c, and ceiling fan. En-suite bathroom is fully equipped with hairdryer, bath and pool towels, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, body lotion, shaving cream, bath salts, sunscreen, floss, insect repellent, and more. All sheets and towels are 100% cotton.

The kitchen is shared with the owners.

Casa Calm is 10 minutes from Myakka River State Park, Fiorelli Winery, Prospect Riding Center, TreeUmph zip-line adventure course, and the Crowley Nature Center. We're 15 minutes from numerous golf courses, tennis courts, and Lakewood Ranch. The Ringling Museum and Selby Botanical Gardens are 30 minutes away. We're 30 minutes from downtown Sarasota, 35 minutes from Lido Key and St. Armands Circle, 40 minutes from Siesta Key and Anna Maria Island. We're an hour from the Dali museum, St. Pete, and downtown Tampa, and two hours from Disney.

Massage and laundry services are available.

Kitchen with microwave is available. The use of cooking facilities (i.e., oven, stove) is included with stays that are one week or more.

The owner is a yoga instructor, so yoga mats, blocks, blankets, straps, foam roller, and large and small physio balls are available for your use.

Benefits of our guest house versus a private vacation rental include daily breakfast, yoga if desired, daily housekeeping, and onsite proprietors to assist with questions about the area and the use of the house amenities.

Beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, cooler, thermos, sunscreen and ice are available for any beach excursions.

Why can't I call Sandi (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sandi (the owner) a message.

If Sandi (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
