Lavender Cottage is a 17th century stone cottage just a few minutes drive from the centre of the medieval town Sarlat la Caneda, it is a house of character that is well equipped and has all modern conveniences and free unlimited wifi.

There is private parking at the house.

It has two bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms.

There is French TV.

There are numerous books and board games as well as a large selection of DVDs.

It is set in a large well stocked garden with a private pool that has lovely views of the Dordogne.

There is charcoal BBQ, table tennis and a hammock in the garden.

There are two terraces to the house aswell as a large pool area.

For your arrival there is a food welcome pack containing, cheese, pate, butter, baguette,wine, tea, coffee, milk and orange juice.

All bedding, towels including pool towels are provided.

For bookings of a week or longer there are fresh flowers and complimentary champagne for your arrival.

There is dishwasher tablets, toilet roll, dish washing liquid etc provide at the house.

There is firewood provided free of charge for the winter months, the house is also heated by electric.

The house is decorated with a Christmas tree for Christmas and champagne and oysters will be delivered on the eve of 24th December.

There is an Easter egg hunt for children in the garden for the Easter weekend.

There is a holiday guide in the house and the owners are happy to make recommendations of where to visit or if you need a reservation for a restaurant.

The house is for the maximum of four including children and babies, no additional guests can be invited to the property or use the property facilities.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay, we do try to take the stress out of arriving by providing a food welcome pack and little items to get you started so you don't have to immediately rush out to the shops. The guide books are just to help you get the most out of your holiday, and we do try to keep them up to date. The house is in a good location so you do have both benefits of being a walkable distance from Sarlat and having a large garden. Jeaneric does like most French men have a vegetable plot which is totally organic so when there is veggies he is happy to share them with our guests.

Wow what a lovely review, we really appreciate the time you took to write it. We were very lucky to be able to buy this house as to have such a large garden with a pool within walking distance of Sarlat is hard to find, they don't come on the market very often. It is a 20 minute walk into town but only a five minute by car, the advantage of walking is you might get to see the Badgers playing and it helps walk the calories off from all the foie gras and duck confit and cocktails! We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and it was such a pleasure meeting you all.

Thankyou for taking the time to write a review. The house location allows you to walk the scenic route into town but there is also the traditional route via the road, the short cut into town is my preferred route as if your lucky you get to see the Badgers playing. If things do breakdown which occasionally happens we normally can replace them quite quickly. The pool is cleaned and analysed daily by Jeaneric, he is also very happy to give guests recommendations about where to dine or visit in the area. The last few days of your stay I had my family 'over seeing' Lavendar Cottage as I was in Bordeaux but they hopefully had been well trained!

How do damage deposits work?
