Description

The Grange at Les Mortiers is a 200 year property belonging to a previously working farm. It is one of two properties listed on this site, both of which have many original features and have been converted with comfort, quality and privacy. The Grange is rated as 4 star, ( superior quality). The Grange is an independent property and not overlooked.

This is an extremely comfortable property for 4 adults, with the possibility of up to 6 guests.

The private garden faces west to watch the spectacular sunsets whilst enjoying a glass of wine or a barbecue.

The superb heated swimming pool is 12 metres long, appreciated by keen swimmers, but designed with safety features for children or the less mobile. The entire pool has a clear, full height cover which creates an indoor pool, yet opens fully to make a traditional outdoor pool. Views of the gardens and surrounding countryside while you swim and relax. All our pool safety equipment conforms to legal requirements.

Les Mortiers is child-friendly with a range of equipment provided (please ask) and has an eco-friendly in caring for the surrounding environment. It is situated in a protected nature area.

The property is surrounded by uninterrupted views of the countryside, yet conveniently situated close to a sleepy French village with a well stocked grocery store, a small cafe/bar and a hairdresser, The Grange is at the end of a private drive and an unchallenging walk to the village of Parcay Les Pins.

There are 10 chateaux to visit within 40 minutes drive and a profusion of vineyards. The vineyards of Chinon, Bourgueil and Saumur are all within easy reach, with many small producers of high quality.

Have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Les Mortiers. Jean and Mike were very welcoming and made us feel at home straightaway. The gite was spotlessly clean and so well equipped with everything you could possibly think of and more. It is the ideal location to just chill out and watch the local wildlife. At the same time there are so many places to visit nearby without having to travel too far and its great to have a relaxing swim after a day out in the gorgeous pool. A return visit is definitely on the cards.

How do damage deposits work?
