This cottage is located in the village of Saint Clément des Levées which has a fabulous boulangerie within a short walk, where you can buy your morning bread and croissants. Situated 15 minutes from historic Saumur and 40 minutes from Angers. Charm and character have been retained in this delightful cottage having exposed beams and traditional décor. This charming property borders the road which runs alongside the quite wonderful Loire River, (with astounding views). Situated at the heart of the Loire Anjou Touraine National Park and classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

HIGH SPEED INTERNET / WIFI ACCESS INCLUDED The accommodation comprises a very comfortable lounge with two sofas, UK and French digital television. Ipod / Iphone charger and player.

THE WELL EQUIPPED KITCHEN with dishwasher, microwave / grill, oven and hob plus washing machine and refrigerator. A wide range of cutlery and utensils are provided enabling you to take advantage of local delicacies such as Sea food, Oysters and Snails. Various glasses for wine degustation are in the dresser. Tea towels, oven gloves and apron are included.

BATHROOM with bath and shower over. Hand and bath towels are provided together with shower and bath mat.

TRADITIONAL IN DESIGN - the cottage has two comfortable double bedrooms, (one of the bedrooms has a cloakroom with wash basin and WC).

GARDENS - two gardens for dining and relaxing. The flower garden is ideal for breakfast with morning sun and shade in the afternoon, whilst the vegetable garden is in shade in the morning with afternoon sun.

GETTING THERE CAR NOT NECESSARY- The property is situated 20 metres from a bus stop with 4-6 buses, Monday to Saturday running between Angers and Saumur. These buses often coincide with mainline train departures from Angers to Paris and Saumur to Tours. Timetable Route 04

FLY : - Ryanair flights from London (Stanstead), Manchester (T3) and Dublin Airport to Tours.- Ryanair flights from London (Stanstead), Edinburgh and Birmingham to Poitiers.- Ryanair flights from London (Stanstead), Liverpool East Midlands, Dublin and Bournemouth to Nantes. From Nantes airport you can hire a car or travel by train to Angers or Saumur. Tours and Poitiers are just an hour from the cottage and Nantes, 1 hour 40 minutes away.TRAIN- Eurostar from St Pancras, London to Lille and Lille to Angers ot Tours and then Saumur.

BUS- The cottage is on bus route 04 running from Angers to Saumur. Many buses coincide with train arrivals / departures. Timetable Route 04

BOAT / DRIVE- Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to La Harvre and Caen are good routes being just 3.5 hours away. Calais and Boulogne are about 6hours drive from the cottage

CAR HIRE- The major car rental firms are represented in Saumur and Angers.

All services are included with the exception of the central heating for which there is an additional charge for stays longer than one week from October to March.

We ask for a £150.00 refundable damages deposit to be paid with the rental balance.

How do damage deposits work?

If Colin (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
