Character cottage, the old beams and tufa stone, tastefully decorated, in the heart of a village near the wineries and vineyard Castle Chaintres. Shops (bakery, grocery, ...). You can discover the Saumur heritage around (Biopark Zoo, Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, troglodyte villages, the Black Frame, ...). You can visit the Castle Chaintres and taste our products. 5% discount will be given on your wine purchases. Response from the owner We are sorry that you were disappointing. Concerning the location of the cottage, the online description mentions "closed to the vineyard of the Câteau de Chaintres", not "in the vineyard". Concerning the insects, we are on organic farming, so we don't use any chemical spray. There are some insects just like in a traditional country house. It is not dirty. On the other hand we are sincerely sorry for the freezer compartment, that's why Richard, the person who welcome you, offered to you a bottle of our wine with all our excuses. Best Regards

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Elisabeth (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
