ridiculous views, art-filled spaces, wonderful volumes, unlimited fresh air... fifty-foot coconut trees, king ferns and frangipanis... pebbled floors, brick walls, and century-old teak, eighteen white koi fish and a home influenced by the universe!
Our home, located in the artist enclave known as Sayan, Ubud in Bali, sits directly above the Ayung River, overlooking a million coconut trees and four volcanoes on the horizon. On a land of about eleven hundred square meters, the house is made up of 2 master bedrooms, an open-plan living and dining space, a mezzanine study and lounge that sits above the kitchen, a heated plunge pool, a garden courtyard for performances and meals, and a little fish pond with eighteen white koi.
Primary materials used throughout the house are red brick, century-old teak, polished concrete and pebble wash. We have filled the walls and ceilings with personal artworks of all sorts. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are speakers placed above the living space.
There are two girls named wayan and dewi that look after the house and are very good cooks along with a wonderful gardener also named wayan.
