From the owner

Just to the rear of a 4 Star Guest accommodation which has a drinks licence, we have a spacious 2 bedroom 5-berth static caravan for self-catering overlooking the garden and Harwood Dale. It is all set in a peaceful and elevated location in 2 acres of private grounds with 360° panoramic views of the sea and national park and situated just 3 miles to the North of Scarborough. We offer free WiFi and there is ample private parking for all. The 'Torbay 28' caravan has a TV lounge (flat screen freeserve TV with DVD player), dining area, two bedrooms (one with a double bed the other with twin/or double bed). Clean duvets, pillows and linen are supplied as required. The bathroom consists of flush toilet, shower/small bath and washbasin. We supply crockery, cutlery, toaster, kettle, cooking equipment, microwave and gas oven but as it is self catering please supply your own food and toiletries. We do provide some towels and extra ones can be hired for £1 each if required. Gas for cooking and water heating plus electricity is included in the price. Pets are welcome by arrangement with a nominal single supplement of £10. As we try to promote a quiet retreat here, we prefer adults and children 6 years of age minimum. The caravan is totally non smoking/vaping.

Minimum 3 nights are available excluding July and August.

In 1990 the owner Tony Hewitt hung up his racing leathers after winning the Motorcycling Sidecar World Championship three times with his partner Steve Webster.

Interaction with guest

The static caravan is in the 2 acres of landscaped gardens of Harmony Country Lodge, a 6 bedroomed Guest house but is secluded and to the rear. On arrival, the guest calls in to the front of the guest house to sign in and get the keys. They are greeted and shown to the caravan with an explanation of facilities. We are always on hand should there be a problem or if assistance is required. Full English breakfast can always be arranged in the guest house if required for a small charge (2019 £6 each all inclusive & ordered the night before. Excluding months November - February).

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Tony (the owner) a message.

If Tony (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
