MORE ABOUT THE HOUSE
Each bedroom has a bath and french doors to the very private pool patio and the two are separated by a living area with cathedral ceilings. The home has been updated with travertine floors (inside and out!) granite counters, stainless appliances, and designer furnishings. The master has a new King size modern leather bed with plush mattress. Second bedroom has a Queen suite from Copenhagen with plush Euromattress. There are also two additional twin roll away beds with box springs. There is high speed internet througout, flat screen TVs throughout plus a large two car garage.
When I was shopping for this home, I thought the only way I could afford vaulted ceilings, granite counters, travertine floors, a mountain view, a two car garage and a pool was to buy a condo, but I had gotten used to the privacy of a single family home. I didn't want to listen to neighbors fighting and kids screaming in the pool! I was a little concerned with how close the house was to the 101 but as soon as I shut the doors, I forgot all about the freeway! The double pane windows keep it quiet and cool and the extra tall wall makes the yard and pool extra quiet. I got everything on my wish list and I didn't have to pay $500 a month in HOA dues! Over the years, I completed upgrades like replacing the carpets, with stone floors, resurfacing the pool, putting in a new turf lawn etc until the home was just right. Now visitors love the same things I did about the home: It has all the benefits of a freestanding home for the price of a condo. And without condo fees, I can pass the savings along to the guests. Judging by the number of return guests each year, being close to the 101 is a pretty good trade off. One techie family even uses the tall wall to project their daily adventures on while they swim. They call their nightly viewings 'Dive in Movie' parties!
