The sun is shining, and the almond trees are blooming. All around the mountains are covered in pink and white blossom. Nestled in a secluded valley in the beautiful Sierra de Tejeda range, Casa Joya is the perfect place to relax. Have a barbecue on the terrace with its stunning sea and mountain views or eat in the romantic walled courtyard with its view of Mount Maroma, the highest peak. You can explore delightful white villages with steep narrow streets decorated with flowers, vines and jasmine, or drive down to the coast and visit Torre del Mar or Nerja with its lovely bay and awe-inspiring Tolkienesque caves. Further east still are unspoilt rocky coves, deserted at certain times of year.


Accommodation:
The house is located in the open countryside, an hour's drive from Málaga airport and half an hour's drive to the coast, and is reached via a well-maintained dirt track, about 1.5 km from the main road. The apartment is attached to the main finca, but completely independent, with its own Moorish walled courtyard.The bedroom area consists of twin beds with bedside tables and lamps, and a double wardrobe.The bath room has a walk-in bath and shower, toilet, bidet and mirrored cabinet with lights and electric socket.

The lounge area consists of sofa and armchair, low coffee tables, standard lamps, dining table and chairs, and a carved Spanish dresser. The internet TV receives all free to air English channels, and includes a DVD player. A separate CD player is also provided. The kitchen is equipped with electric hob, conventional oven with grill, plus a microwave oven, fridge freezer, toaster, filter coffee machine, electric kettle and sufficient crockery, glass ware, cutlery and cooking pots and utensils for four people.

Outside Facilities:
The apartment has its own sun terrace which provides a generous space for loungers, a large wooden table with chairs, and a mobile kettle barbecue. On the lower terrace the pool (8 x 4m; 1.7m deep) is shared with the owners and looks out over the foothills to the sea. A pool-side sun-bathing area is provided with wrought iron loungers and tables and a cantilever parasol.
There is also a shower and another seating area facing the pool. Other facilities include free Wi-Fi, shared washing machine and oil-fired central heating. Parasols, loungers, etc. are provided on all the terraces. All linen is provided, except beach towels. Cot and high chair can be provided on request.

The apartment is beautiful, you have thought of everything and the extra touches such as the fresh flowers, herbs and wine made it all the more special. I'm sure we will be back and will certainly recommend this spot of paradise to family & friends.

Why can't I call Jenny (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Jenny (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jenny (the owner) a message.

If Jenny (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
