The vineyard cottage is located on the top of the vinehill in a small hamlet, with a splendid view to almost one third of the slovenian country. As the premisses is located almost in the middle of the slovenian territory, it's a perfect starting point for discovering Slovenia with all its wonders, combined with having a peacefull hollidays in the heart of green nature.
The chalet offers a warm atmosphere, as the whole house is designed and equipped in the traditional rustical style.
The appartment consists of one big living room (which includes the comfort kithcen and the dinning corner), located in the main floor, and two bedrooms, located in the first floor.
The living room is beautifully decorated big space about which you will really fell "home sweet home". There are two pull-off sofas in the living room that can be used also as beds for 4 presons if needed (dimensions of each extended sofa: 1,9x1,6m - LxW). The dinning corner is dimensioned for 8 persons. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances for 8 persons.
In the living room a traditional stove is placed. It offers also an open fire. In cold winter evenings it really makes a feeling of a warm homeliness.
The bedrooms are something you'll really enjoy. One bedroom is quite big (about 20 m2) and offers an excelent comfort. The dimensions of the king bed are extreeme (2,00 x 2,7 m - LxW) - in necessity it can be used as a tripple bed.
If you wish more privacy, you'll take the smaller bedroom. It's pretty small (about 6 m2). The dimensions of single beds are 1,9 x 0,9 m.
The bathroom with a shower and toilete is located in the main floor.
The cottage has a splendid balcony that was extended among the vine grapes. From there you can enjoy some most beautiful views you can imagine - like green nature, a game of the clouds, a sunset in variety collors - and even thunderstorm coming closer to the cottage. And this is an ideal place to have a fully romantic dinner or comfort breakfast listening the morning song of bird's whistle.
The cottage has it's own parking, up to four cars can park near the chalet.
The cottage with all it's beautiful surroundings is primary supposed to be a place for rest. But close to this we believe it comes a wish to see some "must seen" sights of Slovenia. Becouse most of them are located in the radius of about 120 km from the cottage – the whole Slovenia is achievable in one day trip without any pressure of time. The host organizes such trips on demand, also cares for the transportation and all the arrangements at the destination. However the guests can organize such trips themselves. Imagine one day hiking the Alps, one day swiming in the slovenian sea, one day visiting Postojna cave or Bled etc. – infinite possibilities, and beside all this you can still enyoj the morning sunrises and the evening sunsets sitting on the balcony and tasting the local delicacies.
There is many vineyard cottages on a ridge of Oplenk. Most of them are still active vineyard cottages, others are more houses for rest. Most of them retain typical rural architecture of vineyard cottages. The hamlet was recognized as a rural architecture heritage in the book " The treasures of Slovenia".
