Villa DiTrapano was purchased by our grandfather in 1932. The Villa sits on 16 acres surrounded by an olive orchard with lemon, orange, and fig trees. The property was originally owned and developed by Sig. Conte Rapini and includes his 17th century Castelletto which is adjacent to our Villa. Due to the panoramic and strategic location, it was occupied by the Germans in WWII.
In 2013, we began renovation of Villa DiTrapano. This included the addition of a Travertine swimming pool, and complete reburishing of the Villa, both inside and out. The Villa offers mountain views as well as views of the town of Sezze, the plains out to the Mediterranean and on a clear day the island of Ponza.
There are a total of 4 bedrooms, two on each of the upper floors and one bathroom per floor, all of which have been recently renovated. There are two memory foam cots available for extra guests, raising the sleeping accommodation to 10 guests.
We also have a studio apartment in the castelletto that sleeps 3. Perfect for a couple or a few teenagers. There is air conditioning, full bath, sitting area, and refrigerator. This is an additional $1500 per week. Only rented to guests renting villa.
The terrace off of the French doors from the living room provides a dining area with a view of the pool, village, and Mediterranean coast in the distance. The terrace has a teak dining table that seats 8 people or more. A large umbrella provides shelter from the sun. Ample parking space is available on site. Electric gates add privacy.
Kitchen:
The kitchen floor is colorful Italian ceramic tile. Carrara marble was chosen for the counters. We have a state of the art Espresso machine, as well as both an American coffee maker and French press. As one of our owners is a chef, she has chosen Calphalon cookware, and all the essential cooking instruments any chef would need. Feel free to prepare a feast with local fresh seafood, meats and produce. The stove is gas, and there is a dishwasher.
Or you can always call Alessandro Castaldi, Chef/Owner of Hostaria Il Gobbo. Alessandro and his staff will prepare a special meal for you, and you won't have to lift a finger, only your glass.
Bedrooms:
Our villa accommodates 10 people. We have 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, one room with a queen bed and one room with twin beds. On the 3rd floor we have two rooms, both with queen beds. Our 2 memory foam cots are perfect for children or extra guests. They easily fit in the queen rooms closest to the bathroom on each floor.
All bedding is of the highest quality and our sheets have a high thread count. We have selected our bedding thinking of our guests who deserve the finest. Each bedroom has 2 white waffle weave 100% cotton robes hanging in the armoires. There is also an Italian hair dryer in each bedroom. No need to pack a hair dryer or robe. (FYI the hair dryers only work in the bathrooms.)

Bathrooms:
There are three full bathrooms in the villa. The 1st floor bathroom is off the living room/dining room area. When unlocked, you may also enter from outside when using the pool. This is a full bath with a walk-in shower. The 2nd floor bathroom is a combination tub/shower and has a bidet. It is shared by the queen room and twin room on the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor bathroom has a walk-in Travertine spa shower with a rainshower head and cascading faucet. There is also a hand held shower. This bathroom has a bidet. The stone for the bathrooms was chosen from the famous town of Tivoli, near Rome.
Swimming Pool:
Our villa has an onsite chlorine pool for guests to use. The pool's shallow end is 1.2 meters (4 feet) deep and the deep end is 1.98 meters (6.5 feet) deep. The length is 10 meters (32 feet) long and 5 meters (16 feet) wide.
We have 8 lounge chairs, 3 umbrellas, and several small tables by the pool. Beach/pool towels are provided.

Cleaning:
Before your stay, we have a detailed cleaning staff that thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the Villa and prepares it for our guests. We follow all local COVID protocols and sanitize surfaces regularly.
